I would only recommend Nicholls Solar. The other 2 companies that I got quotes from less then impressed me. One of the other companies was trying to sell me a "3 kw" system that had a 2.8kw inverter. When I asked them how thus could produce 3kw, I never heard from them again!
The second company who was try to push me to buy their "qcells" was pushy, rude, insulting and tried to make me appear to be someone who had not looked in to solar at all. They were wrong. I had done my research and needless to say I never called them back!!
Nicholls solar however were a dream to deal with. Their sales person, Anthony Agius, was not pushy like the rest. He patiently provided me with several quotes for different size systems, gave me upfront information about their products and was honest. He didn't claim that the system was "the best," he was honest and showed us exactly where it positioned itself and he didn't claim to be the cheapest. Everything was more "middle range." He also could have got us a better brand had we wanted it, but ultimately he listened to what we wanted and expected from a solar system and gave us a system that suited our needs. The solar panels on our system are actually rated number 3, so it goes to show you that the "best brands" (and most expensive) are not always the best option. They have so been around for a long time, so I'm confident they will be there to back up their warranty, should anything go wrong.
Our system has been in for nearly a month now and it is producing way more than we thought it would. My parents have a "better brand" system and our system is producing quite a bit more than theirs.
I have recommended Nicholls solar to other family members who are looking into installing a system soon. |
