To cover our electricity usage we would have had to cover our whole roof in panels. The benefits of Solar are over rated as the RECs fall. We are merely doing it now to reduce our carbon footprint and cushion ourselves somewhat from future price rises. Reducing electricity usage will be the only surefire way of protecting oneself from price rises.
