Came down to a sense of trust. Origin supply my power so I figured they'd be around in case things went wrong. (As they did in fact - the inverted already needs replacing!) |

| I had to pay $600 compared with the advertised price in a mailer sent to my house on account of living more than 120k from a capital city GPO -- they said the extra was to cover 'travelling costs' As it turned out, the installers were local blokes from about 10 k away. Origin refused to rebate the $600 -- or even part of it. Also, they forgot to mention that I wouldn't get credited with the electricity generated during the day and sent to the grid until an Energex bloke came around --much later -- to do something to the fuse box. Basically, they ended up with about $70 of free electricity back to the grid. Again, no compensation. I wouldn't recommend Origin if you want solar panels. |
