It currently has 11 production facilities, situated in China&#8217;s <span class=\"ccbnTxt\"> Shanghai, Hebei, Jiangsu and Anhui provinces; plus factories in Penang, Malaysia and Hanoi, Vietnam .<\/span><\/p>\n<p>According to JA&#8217;s Fourth Quarter and Fiscal Year 2016 results <a href=\"http:\/\/investors.jasolar.com\/phoenix.zhtml?c=208005&amp;p=irol-newsArticle&amp;ID=2254666\" target=\"_blank\">released last month<\/a>, the company&#8217;s total shipments reached 5.2 gigawatts last year. This total was made up of 4.6 GW of solar modules and module tolling, 313.8 MW of cells and cell tolling to external customers, plus 245.8 MW of modules that were shipped for JA Solar&#8217;s downstream projects.<\/p>\n<p>JA Solar says external shipments last year represented an increase of 24.9% from the 3.9 GW it achieved in fiscal year 2015.<\/p>\n<p>For the first quarter of 2017, the company expects it would have achieved total cell and module shipments to be somewhere between the 1,200 &#8211; 1,300 MW mark and forecasts shipments for 2017 to be between 6.0 and 6.5 GW.<\/p>\n<p>By the end of 2017, the company expects its silicon wafer production capacity to reach 3 GW (+.5GW compared to end of 2016), cell production capacity to increase to 7 GW (+1.5GW) and module production capacity to hit 6 GW (+.5GW).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.solarquotes.com.au\/panels\/ja-solar-review.html\">JA Solar panels<\/a> have been a popular choice for home solar power systems in Australia, having gained a reputation for good performance and reliability at a comparatively low pricing point.
