Bendigo and Adelaide Bank have been busy installing more solar panels manufactured in South Australia on the rooftops of the organisation’s buildings.<\/p>\n
Bendigo and Adelaide Bank have previously pledged to purchase 100 percent renewable energy by 2025 and reduce absolute emissions 50 percent by 2030. As part of these goals, the organisation is in the midst of deploying solar power systems at a bunch of branches.<\/p>\n
A total of 49 branch and office locations now have solar panels, with further installations scheduled before the end of this year. Just in the last month or so,\u00a0 five branches – Benalla, Ballarat West, Coffs Harbour, Cobram and Wagga Wagga<\/a> –\u00a0 have had installations incorporating Australian-made solar panels from Adelaide’s Tindo Solar.<\/p>\n Bendigo and Tindo have pretty strong ties. The bank provided finance for Tindo Solar\u2019s new factory in Mawson Lakes in Adelaide’s north, which was officially opened in May.
