Subsidiary Hinen New Energy was established in 2022, with a focus on residential energy storage solutions. The firm manufactures in China and Vietnam, with offices scattered about the place &#8211; including here in Australia in North Sydney.<\/p>\n<p>Currently the company only has one battery and a single line of inverters on the Clean Energy Council&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/cleanenergycouncil.org.au\/industry-programs\/products-program\">approved products lists<\/a> &#8211; but that could soon change given what Hinen will be showcasing at All Energy. Grid-connect inverters need to be on the list to qualify for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.solarquotes.com.au\/panels\/rebate\/\">Australia&#8217;s solar rebate<\/a>, some state-based incentives and to be permitted to connect to electricity networks. CEC listing is also required for some <a href=\"https:\/\/www.solarquotes.com.au\/rebates-subsidies\/\">state battery incentives<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>B5000 Battery<\/h2>\n<p>A 5kWh (4.6kWh usable) low-voltage battery that can be expanded to 30kWh. The base model has rated power of 5.12kW.<\/p>\n<p>The safety features in the B5000 include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>LFP(LiFePO4) battery chemistry<\/li>\n<li>Temperature sensors<\/li>\n<li>Over-current and over-voltage protection<\/li>\n<li>Short circuit protection<\/li>\n<li>Internal aerosol fire extinguisher<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Side note:<\/b> There have been a few batteries popping up with an in-built fire extinguisher. I think <a href=\"https:\/\/www.solarquotes.com.au\/battery-storage\/reviews\/solaredge-review.html\">SolarEdge&#8217;s Home Battery<\/a> was the first, but they subsequently dropped the feature. This wasn&#8217;t because it had problems, but according to the company, during testing for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ul.com\/news\/ul-9540a-battery-energy-storage-system-ess-test-method\">UL9540A standard<\/a> SolarEdge was told it was so far above the requirements that the extinguisher wasn&#8217;t required.<\/p>\n<p>The B5000 is on the CEC approved battery list.<\/p>\n<h2>H5000s Hybrid Inverter<\/h2>\n<p>This is a 5kW single-phase hybrid inverter with 200% oversizing capability. The H5000s is on the CEC approved inverter list as the H5000-EU, along with several other H-series inverters of different capacities.<\/p>\n<h2>B7700M-H Battery Module<\/h2>\n<p>A high-voltage battery module with a 7.7kWh capacity, capable of 45A continuous current and with the B5000&#8217;s safety features. It has a maximum charge\/discharge power rating of 7.776kWh for a single unit.\u00a0 Not yet on the CEC list.<\/p>\n<h2>H12000t Inverter<\/h2>\n<p>A 12kW three-phase hybrid inverter that accommodates 100% unbalanced loads, and can provide a whopping 72kW output power when set up in parallel (if your Distributed Network Service Provider &#8211; DNSP <a href=\"https:\/\/www.solarquotes.com.au\/grid-connection\/\">allows it<\/a>). Also not on the CEC list at the time of publishing.<\/p>\n<h2>A10000s All-in-One Battery System<\/h2>\n<p>The A10000s is a 10kW single-phase hybrid all-in-one residential energy storage system featuring four MPPT channels. Its 15.4kWh capacity can be expanded using B7700M-H modules.<\/p>\n<p>Hinen says its 230V\/63A off-grid output power can reach up to 15kW, supporting full household load backup and providing uninterrupted power supply (\u2264 10ms switchover).<\/p>\n<p>Like the B5000, it is based on LFP chemistry and has its safety bells and buzzers. It has a wider ambient temperature range than the B5000 (-20\u2103 to +60\u2103 compared to -20\u2103 to 55\u2103).<\/p>\n<p>While it was launched in Australia in late September, the A10000s is yet to appear on the CEC&#8217;s approved list.<\/p>\n<h2>The Hinen App<\/h2>\n<p>An app providing real-time battery status, voltage, current, temperature, and alerts.<\/p>\n<p>Further details on the above products can be found on <a href=\"https:\/\/au.hinen.com\/\">Hinen&#8217;s Australian website<\/a>. From the datasheets and info available from the company&#8217;s website, you can compare Hinen kit with other solutions on our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.solarquotes.com.au\/battery-storage\/comparison-table\/\">battery<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.solarquotes.com.au\/battery-storage\/hybrid-inverter-comparison\/\">hybrid inverter<\/a> comparison tables (we are yet to add Hinen to them).<\/p>\n<p>Hinen Australia rep &#8220;Steve&#8221; (no last name given) said the company was thrilled to be participating at All Energy; where you&#8217;ll be able to find them at booth K113.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u00a0&#8220;Our products aim to support Australia&#8217;s energy transition,&#8221; he said. &#8220;We look forward to connecting with industry professionals, witnessing cutting-edge technology, and exploring a smarter, more efficient, and sustainable energy future together.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.all-energy.com.au\/\"> All Energy Australia 2024<\/a> is being held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre on October 23rd and 24th. There will be ~390 exhibitors this year, so it should be a corker.
