Almost all of Fronius&#8217; competitors avoid fans, relying on just a heatsink. The downside of a fan is noise, but the Gen 24 emits only a gentle hum. Installed by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.solarquotes.com.au\/installer-review\/energy-solution-centre\/\">Energy Solution Centre<\/a>.<\/em><\/p><\/div>\n<p>Although it lost out on bronze by two votes to Goodwe, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.solarquotes.com.au\/battery-storage\/reviews\/sigenergy-review.html\">Sigenergy<\/a> deserves a mention as an up-and-coming brand that burst onto the Australian solar scene in 2024.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s the early days, but installers like how easy it is to install and commission Sigenergy units, with a great-looking app that is heavily influenced by Tesla&#8217;s app (and that&#8217;s a good thing).<\/p>\n<p>Price-wise, they sit between midrange Sungrow and premium-end Fronius.<\/p>\n<p>I filmed<span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;\">\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/gf3KtyZ56Ks\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the installation of a full Sigenergy system<\/a>\u2014and was<\/span>\u00a0impressed.<\/p>\n<h2>What Do They Cost?<\/h2>\n<p>Pricing at the inverter level can be seen on my <a href=\"https:\/\/www.solarquotes.com.au\/inverters\/compare\/\">standard inverter<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.solarquotes.com.au\/battery-storage\/hybrid-inverter-comparison\/\">hybrid inverter<\/a> comparison tables.<\/p>\n<p>To use an example &#8211; here&#8217;s pricing for a 10kW single-phase inverter:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fronius Gen24 10.0 Primo: $3,700<\/li>\n<li>Sungrow SG10RS: $2,300<\/li>\n<li>Goodwe GW10K-MS-30: $1,300<\/li>\n<li>Sigenergy 6.0kW (they don&#8217;t do 10kW single phase): $1,800<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>So the budget Goodwe will save you over $2,000 compared to the premium-end Fronius.<\/p>\n<p>The question for consumers is: Is Fronius&#8217;s reputation worth $2k more, compared to the budget Goodwe?
