I haven&#8217;t seen pricing as yet for the 500-Watt panel, but Aiko gear is generally towards the budget end of the market.<\/p>\n<h2>Aiko&#8217;s Not Done Pushing The Power Envelope Yet<\/h2>\n<p>We could see even more powerful rooftop panels while maintaining the same footprint in the not-too-distant future from Aiko.<\/p>\n<p>Last year <a href=\"https:\/\/www.solarquotes.com.au\/blog\/aiko-acap-solar-mb3043\/\">Aiko announced<\/a> it had teamed up with the Australian Centre for Advanced Photovoltaics, aiming to achieve 30% conversion efficiency for back contact cells. As at August 2025, Aiko was achieving above 27% in mass production.<\/p>\n<h2>Aiko In Australia<\/h2>\n<p>Ailo is a relative newcomer to Australia, launching here early last year and setting up an office in Melbourne.<\/p>\n<p>The company has attracted a lot of attention locally during that time; but also created some controversy over partial shading optimisation claims. That doesn&#8217;t seem to have dampened installers embracing the brand; with Aiko winning the SolarQuotes Installers Choice Awards for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.solarquotes.com.au\/blog\/best-solar-panels-2025\/\">best solar panels in 2025<\/a>\u00a0 ahead of REC and JinkoSolar \u2014 and by quite a margin; scooping up 27% of the vote compared to REC&#8217;s 16%.<\/p>\n<p>As well as installers, the company&#8217;s panels have proved popular with Australian homeowners too. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.solarquotes.com.au\/panels\/aiko-solar-review.html\">Aiko solar panel reviews<\/a> on SolarQuotes from Australians who&#8217;ve had them installed have averaged 5 stars from 278 ratings.<\/p>\n<p>Zhejiang Aiko Solar Technology Co., Ltd. was founded in 2009 in China. Originally focused on cell manufacturing, the firm began producing solar panels in 2023, so it&#8217;s a new kid on the block in that aspect as well. It has six major production bases in China, supported by three R&amp;D centers \u2014 one in Europe and two in China. The company claims to have shipped more than 170 GW of cells and modules since it was founded, and boasts 10,000+ employees globally.<\/p>\n<h2>High Power Solar Panel Choices Proliferating<\/h2>\n<p>We&#8217;ve seen a bunch of high-powered solar panels suitable for installation on Australian rooftops unveiled this year, among them:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.solarquotes.com.au\/blog\/trina-new-vertex-s-mb3300\/\">Trina Vertex S+ 475W<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.solarquotes.com.au\/blog\/tw-solar-470w-mb3286\/\">TW Solar TWMNH 470 W<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.solarquotes.com.au\/blog\/risen-475w-panel-mb3281\/\">Risen Energy RSM96-11 475 W\u00a0<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.solarquotes.com.au\/blog\/winaico-bdx-wbc-solar-panels-mb3250\/\">Winaico WST-475BDX54-B2 475 W<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>And it was only in February 2025 when Aiko launched the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.solarquotes.com.au\/blog\/aiko-launches-its-most-ruthlessly-efficient-solar-panel-yet\/\">Neostar 2P 480W<\/a> here. At the time, it was claimed to be the first residential panel in Australia to exceed 24% module efficiency. The new 500 W Gen3 Neostar Infinite 3P54 has blasted past that, and is close to a kilogram lighter.<\/p>\n<p>All of the panels listed above have a footprint of just under 2 m\u00b2 with the exception of Winaico&#8217;s, which is a whisker over. 2 m\u00b2 is generally considered the cut-off limit for rooftop installations, and even then they are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.solarquotes.com.au\/blog\/solar-panel-installer-wishlist\/\">challenging for installers to handle<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>With so many brand and module choices available to Australians, it can be confusing to determine what to get.
