EcoSmart Solar is a local, family owned and operated business and has been in the solar energy related field since 2004. We are specialists in Solar Hot Water and Grid Connected Photovoltaic (PV) Solar Power Systems and Solar Hot Water. We also deal in solar pool heating and air-conditioning. We provide you tailored solar advice, supply, install, deliver and maintain all solar systems we sell, guaranteeing you excellent after market service and quality system design, tailored to our Central Queensland climate.

At EcoSmart we have a range of extremely good solar power panels to choose from, using top of the range Power-One Aurora inverters and Australian made, Cyclone rated mounting systems.

We have on staff, Clean Energy Council Accredited electricians to provide all aftermarket service, warranty and advice. All power system we install come with a market leading 5 year comprehensive warranty for both parts and labour.

We offer an obligation free on site advice, measure and quote service by our staff, qualified trades people, who can tailor a Solar Solution for your home to achieve maximum efficiency and return, at the best possible price.

All our trades people are fully qualified, licensed and professional. Our installation service is second to none. While we are based in Rockhampton, we service the whole of Central Queensland including Gladstone, Blackwater, Yeppoon, Monto, Miriam Vale, Biloela, Moura, Emerald, Bouldercombe, the Capricorn Coast, St. Lawrence and everywhere in between.

Great Installation

After meeting with the salesman the quote was emailed in a timely manner. The guys that installed the system were very friendly and polite. They tidied up everything and left no mess after the job was completed.

Excellent service

Quoting was straight forward, professional and quick.
Installation was punctual with installers being polite and leaving site exceptionally tidy.
EcoSmart did all grid connection process, only required me to sign application form which was done electronically.

Went very well.

The sales and quoting process was direct and no-nonsense. I wanted a good quality system and I got it.

The installers were friendly and the electrician was knowledgeable. The solar panels are generating a large amount of power already despite being the height of winter.

Excellent service and advice.

How was the sales/quoting process? Excellent. Jeff contacted me after business hours because I was the only time I was available to talk to, due to work commitments. Very grateful of his service.

How did the installation go? Great. Polite? Yes. Tidy? Yes. Punctual? Absolutely.

Adequate but expensive.

Sales quoting - average, would only respond to questions with pro forma quotes. No phone calls and did not answer questions asked via email.

The installers were really nice people. Just sparkies sent out to do a job. They were polite, they were tidy. Most of the work was to a very good quality but a few things could have been better. External Cat 6 cable unprotected and cable tied to external conduit, solid conduit bent over existing conduit rather than using flexible conduit, additions to fuse box not straight.

Customer service was very average. They send you a txt telling you to call them to confirm your install date. The inverter was lost in transit, we we advised by the installers on the day of install but no communication from the office. When we finally received a txt (not even a phone call) regarding the rescheduled appointment to install inverter they lied about the cause of the problem stating it was due to a sick staff member. They were unaware that the installers had already told us the truth that the inverter was lost in transit. Then somehow the customer service lady was suggesting she was doing use a favour when rescheduling as if we should be grateful.

Yes, we had some challenges with your installation, primarily due to the construction of your home being a 2 storey home built over the top of a completed shed. This delayed our completion of the installation in one day as we normally do.
We attend as quickly as physically possible and commissioned the system for you.

Unfortunately after the installation we where unable to comply with your request to supply you with our installer password. I know this upset you, but we legally cannot give it to you.

Please be assured that we will be here to support you when you need it and thank you again for choosing us as your installer.

good installation and friendly service

Came out gave me a quote which I thought was good told me I didn't need a bigger system which others were trying to sell us. The installation didn't start to well as the crew thought it was a tin roof apart from that everything went well except for a broken tile which they stuck back together I don't know how long that will last.The crew who did the installation were friendly and very helpful.

Smooth operators

The office and the installers kept us informed about what they were doing at all times -really professional communication. The installers were pleasant and easy to deal with. We especially appreciated that on our request they cheerfully dismounted and took away our ancient eyesore sat dish (even though it wasn't in the way of the panels). The first price given did seem to be a bit on the high side compared to the other quote and info on your website but a "special" early sign discount of $500 which eventuated took us over the line. Overall a pleasure to deal with and we are looking forward to enjoying our solar in the years to come.

A supplier of quality product and first class service

We were told up front about real costs, reliability and value for money/return on asset.
All aspects were fully explained by the business owner/principal
After thorough research we decided to go with a high quality product (non Chinese) so the cost was expensive but we have peace of mind that it is a very good system that will last.
The installation went like clockwork and all paperwork and arrangements with Ergon were completed.
They come thoroughly recommended.

Having three recommended providers to deal with rather than having to trawl through the whole process of sorting the sheep from the goats saved us a whole lot of time and stress at a time when we are dealing with some family illness issues. We are very happy with our new solar. It has only been installed for one week and it is working really well and have already had a follow up call from our installer to check that we are happy and everything is going well.
Of the three recommendations of installers given by you, Jeff at Ecosmart Solar was the only one that contacted us. We did acquire quotes from others but found Jeff to be be very helpful and extremely knowledgeable. Jeff gave the best advice after considering our needs.

The system has been performing well. We have a battery system installed. We initially had a problem with the Selectronic inverter charger, where it failed in just a few weeks. Ecosmart Solar Rockhampton were immediately on to it, had it replaced and we have not had a problem since.
We are more than happy with the system and the way it performs. We have not had to pay for electricity since installation, which can only be a bonus.
Any initial issues we had, mostly just us not understanding how things worked, were happily answered by the staff at Ecosmarrt Solar Rockhampton. They could not have been more helpful.
Overall we are very pleased with the system and the service.

I chose fantastic as my answers because I have not had a negative experience with Jeff from Eco Smart Rockhampton and everything was done professionally.
As well as the 6.5 solar system and selectronic Fronius Inverter I got a 330litre hot water system to replace my instant system

Contacted EcoSmart Rockhampton, Jeff attend and provide a quote. Efficient, turned up on time, ran through the options available and presented a comprehensive summary of the system. Choose top of the range LG 330W panels with an SMA inverter. System was installed within 3 weeks and Ergon connected it quickly. Great team doing the install - got stuck in and did a great job. Smooth hassle free service.

Dux solar hot water system 315 litre. Failed hot logic electronics at 2 years service. Rubbish product and rude dux company rep when rung about non existent warranty. Repairs cost nearly $400 Redback inverter excellent. LG resu battery 10kwh excellent although paid $10,000 for battery that i could have paid $7000 for if i had done my homework. Ecosmart solar / Platinum electrics very expensive but with excellent employees. Won't fight their suppliers to help customer. "Ring dux yourself "

We chose a 3kW panel system with a 5kW inverter to allow for expansion, e.g. batteries -- you need to update the question relating to this!
We only had one problem: the boss went on holidays just after the installation was done and office staff did not check that all the paperwork had been done for a week -- so we had to wait for Ergon to finish the job and activate the system.
