After Sales Service is Rubbish
We purchased a large expensive system, no issues with the installing of the system, however after sales service is rubbish. The Sungrow inverter failed within 2 years, lots of blame game where the issue was with and who should fix it and provide the refund because the system was down for 6 months. After months of saying it could not be the system the electricity company sent out an independent inspector, it turned out to be the inverter, no real surprises there, we told Forwood it was the inverter months prior. Part of their sales promotion was they would know if the system failed and would be in contract with us, turns out this was a mistruth, they do not and did not make contact with us. We found out the invertor was not working after receiving high electricity bills. It took months and lots of follow up from me for the inverter to be replaced. I phoned, emailed or texted constantly.We were told not to worry about it as we would be reimbursed for the 6 months the inverter was out of order. As requested, I sent copies of our electricity bills multiple times to Forwood Energy. I phoned, texted and emailed them nearly every day for months for our reimbursement. Every excuse in the book was provided. It is with the accounts department, I am overseas, I am unwell, I am in a meeting and will phone you back (he rarely phoned me back), I will call you first thing in the morning (never happened) , I promise you I am onto it, I will square it instantly, I am on a roof, I will pay it out of my own bank account as a goodwill gesture, I am waiting to be reimbursed by Sungrow, I have this prioritised, I will process the refund instantly for you now, I have been away and will send it to our accounts area today they will send a remittance. YAWN
It has been over 10 months now, of course the refund was never received. Forwood have been given ample opportunity to rectify the issue and refund our money. All I got in return was lots of excuses and mistruths. I am extremely disappointed in them. They are all talk, if you need aftersales service this company is not for you.

Terrible customer service - issues dragged on for 7 months with empty promises
Initially had the system installed and aside from a few delays nothing was out of the ordinary. The after care service that was sold at the time of purchase was dreadful.The new goodwe inverter malfunction sometime late last year/early this year which was not Forwoods fault. I contacted them in March to which I was told that he would organise a replacement and that the difference in bills would be covered until that happened. This dragged on and on and on, each time I made contact I was assured it was being sorted out and the bills would be sorted. Fast forward to September and the inverter was swapped out with the old one still remaining in my garage. More phone calls to get this and the bills sorted, more empty promises. In November I reached my limit and am in the process of filing a complaint with the office of fair trading. I have copies of all correspondence throughout, I would strongly recommend taking your business elsewhere.

Good value and system
Good price and system. Installation two contractors ok. Customer service and after sales nil. They insisted on having half the cost up front, and the balance before the job was finished. We were meant to get a hot water timer, so deducted $250 from last payment, and so far they're not interested in coming back to fit the timer. Unethical behaviour from Forwood Energy Group
Unethical behaviour from Forwood Energy Group. We Paid Forwood Energy Group a deposit of $3,900 in a bank transfer to order and install a new 13.3kw solar system on the 11/3/2023. They have failed to come and install. So we have asked for a refund. Now we cannot get a refund and they do not answer any of the 3 numbers they advertise, nor do they answer any emails or TXT. My advice is Do Not use this Business.29 April 2023

Install and system great. Customer service poor.
The sales and quoting process was fantastic. The installation was great, very professional and left our home neat and tidy. The customer service was initially good, however our install was pushed back by almost 3 weeks and now our system looks as though it’s not producing anything at all. I am unable to talk to anyone about the issue as my calls, texts and emails go unanswered or I am promised something that is never received.10 October 2022

After sales service poor old panels never picked up.
Installation good. Paid cash no receipt forthcoming. Would not deal with them again. Appears to be helpful but unreliable solar panels still here after 8 Weeks. Contacted them 3 times to have them removed they are full of excuses. I have no receipt so I suppose I have no warranty if required. When ordering i was told I couldn’t pay by ethpos or cash had to be a bank transfer. When it came to doing the work cash was asked for. It looks like i will be dumping the panels.Supplier Reply:
Hi Maurice,Just wanted to follow up on this review if we can , You asked us on several occasions if you could pay Cash as too which we responded unfortunately we do not take.
On the day as an exception as you said you had never done a bank transfer before we said would take cash as a one off for you, We do not usually do this as we like to have a record of payment from each customer with in our system for compliance.
All Receipts and welcome packs which include your serial numbers, Warranties, data sheets, start up procedures and shutdown procedures were sent on the day of install to your email address which we have on file - I have however resent these through for you just now as had no idea these had not been received as we have had no calls or messages from yourself regarding this?
The company that collects panels and sends them away to struggling countries believe have been short staffed but have made several attempts to contact you too have these collected - They WANT as many panels as they can get so not sure where this has fallen down but I will follow this up straight away for you , Please call me at any time if you wish to discuss anything - I will be touching in today however to make sure you have everything you need

Great customer service & fast installation
Extremely happy with everything this company did. The price was right & the customer service was great. James was very good to deal with, was very knowledgeable & responded to questions fast. They got the job completed in about a week & everything went smoothly. I highly recommend them if you're thinking about getting solar. I don't think you will find anyone better.11 April 2022
No hassle no worries
I was initially very sceptical about the solar industry. But due to rising energy costs I was left with no choice but to dive in. My first phone conversation with James from forwood energy really put my mind at ease, and it become clearthat going solar was a good option for me. Talking with James was more like talking to a trusted old friend, he gave me the full run down on what solar could do for me. Once I felt comfortable that we had chosen the right products the installation was organised within a matter of days. The crew turned up on time, were polite and friendly, completed the install in a timely manner and were very tolerant to my above average aesthetic requirements. After the install they talked me through the whole process, explained how I can ensure my system is working correctly, and left my house neat and tidy. All in all a fantastic experience. Best in the Business
We got many many quotes but did not feel like any company would listen to what we wanted and just pushed a product.Forwood were completely the opposite, Offered many different options and great advise.
System has been installed a year now , They have always helped me with any questions when I ring them RE best providers and what to do ETC to get the most out of the system even a year on when I call them.

Solar Sales and Installation
The installation of an upgrade was instigated by a cold canvas call from a company representative from another company, this sounded super good. We are in the area and you can get a 'bulk buy' price. This turned out to be $2000 more expensive than one of the quotes that I received from Solar Quotes the supply of the Invertor was the same brand and the panels were of equal quality. I had spoken to James Wood, who organized almost immediately and the installation was flawless, so far so good!9 months later we asked Reg and Heather: "Are you happy with the performance of your system so far?"
We have noticed a huge difference in our cost of electricity since the installation. At the time we expected to have an upgraded 'Smart Meter" on three occasions last year (after the installation) I contacted Forward Energy and was told the request to Origin for this upgrade had gone through. I rang origin and they had no record of any request and asked me to ask Forward Energy for an application reference number. To this day I have not received a reference number. At least three times this year2022, I have contacted the installer and have to say there has been no satisfactory outcome.14 March 2022
Quote, install and customer service awful.
Quoted, did not notice I’m on 3 phase. Quote therefore wrong. installers seemed to ignore agreed plan and takes me into easiest install. Installers wouldn’t replace broken tile despite asking 3 times “I’m not swapping that”. So many stuff ups they agreed to discount, discount waived so they’d fit a consumption meter (I’d discussed consumption graphs all the way through install). After I’d paid full amount no longer answering calls or texts and no meter fitted.Very dissapointed as they seemed nice.

Hi ColinThanks so much for sharing your experience, As per our conversation on the phone this morning, I feel as if the review may be a little bit one-sided and just wanted to respond to a few points if that's ok.
1) You came through to us as a referral and were after a similar system to your friend, this meant that the system originally quoted was a single phase system. As soon as we picked up we needed a 3 phase quote, corrected this accordingly before the final quote stage.
2) Our installers positioned the panels on your roof where your pre existing panels were as otherwise you would have had a completely mismatched roof where under the old panels had not been painted - this was two tiles lower than the proposed imagery which made it no easier at all for the installers as it was on exactly the same roof in almost the same location - We always make sure a customer is happy with location before beginning as it is much easier for us as a company to get it right the first time , I chatted with you after install as I do with every customer and you said you would have liked them higher up the roof but you had agreed that placement with the team.
I called you back two days after as could I not stop thinking about it and offered to come and move your whole system for free of charge as I always want the customer to be happy ( we have to bare in mind this is after a location was fully agreed) and you send us a message which I have forwarded to solar Quotes to confirm saying 'Yeh, Dead impressed mate. Most companies wouldn't have gone the extra mile. I really appreciate it'
3) We would always replace a tile as it is a 10 second job and would save us a WORLD of troubles as a cracked tile is what may cause a leak , I have worked with this installer in question for 5 years and is the source of many of our hundreds of 5 star reviews so unfortunately can not agree on this point :(
4) A consumption meter was never in your quotation - In your friends quotation there was a specific quotation quoting this (consumption measures what the property is exporting not just what is been produced)
As a company we are always looking to improve so always take feedback, I have to be honest and say I am genuinely hurt by this review and do deem it to be inaccurate as I feel we went above and beyond in this particular instance (your friend also has agreed) but still appreciate you taking the time to write this.

The best!
These guys were very professional and approachable. This company were the only ones to get on the roof to ensure to big system I wanted would fit and more importantly actually work! The price was great and communication was awesome. The handover on the day was easy just the usability of the app! The guys were the best
Amazing team, amazing service and amazing install.Thanks so much Forwood- after 10 or so quotes I just didn’t feel comfortable with any way.
I spoke with Forwood and they put me at ease, no pressure and plenty of different choices for different budgets I had.
I was just about to give up until I came across solar quotes and Forwood !
6 months on they have checked up on me and ensured I’m still happy.

Brilliant from quote to installation
James went ABOVE and BEYOND to cater our system perfectly for our needs, we went from producing around 8kwh per day on our single phase 6kw system to over 40kwh every day single day.Payed deposit on Monday and it was installed on Thursday.
Absolutely brilliant work by Ben and Laser on installation, very tidy and professional, boys took all their rubbish away and removed old system also.
Couldn't recommend Forewood Energy Enough for a quality installation.

Forwood really are the only way Forward 1
I have just had a 10.36kw system installed and i couldn't be happier.The whole process was seamless and stress free.
I dealt directly with James. He was courteous and Professional. I didn't get any negative vibes from him and he didn't try to sell me something i didn't want. He was very knowledgeable and didn't mind answering my questions.
The installers, Ben and Guy were on time and very friendly. The whole install only took 6 hours and they didn't waste anytime. Ben was happy to explain the install process, WiFi connection and any other queries i had. The Jinko Tiger Panels look great and the Sungrow Premium Inverter is exactly what i wanted.
Forwood have taken care of all the relevant paperwork and there is literally nothing left for me to do.
One neat and tidy job with no mess for me to clean up !
10/10 Guys and i have no Problem in recommending them !

Exceptional assistance for the entire process
James gave me a call after i submitted an expression on interest. He was more than happy to spend 30 mins on the phone to me talking all things solar! Id received 5 quotes from other companies, and James was able to help me understand the difference with them all by talking to me in really simple to understand layman's English, which was incredible helpful. After that first call he had my full trust. He got his installation team out on time as promised, and they were also exceptionally helpful, timely and took care to pack up EVERYTHING after. The system I have is great, looks great and has me set up for the next 20 years. Cant recommend James and Forwood Energy Group enough.04 August 2021

Fantastic communication from start to finish
James and his team at Forwood Energy were fantastic to deal with.From the initial consultation they took the time to give a detailed overview and understanding of the proposed system and walked through the entire process with me. I never felt like I was being pressured into anything, even suggesting to seek further quotes and consultations. They were incredibly approachable and flexible throughout the process. They even came and installed all the brackets before we had the roof restored and the panel installation was very efficiently.
I highly recommend Forwoord Energy for you solar installation.

They aim to please
Forwood energy were easy to deal with, low fuss and easy to communicate with via phone, email and facebook messenger. They were most responsive and receptive to my many questions, change of mind and other hiccups which customers who do some homework can cause. They took it all in their stride and worked very hard to ensure i was a happy and satisfied customer.They had the best value for money offer which was by far the most reasonable of the top rated installers on solar quotes.
These guys also provided good follow up and are obviously hard workers.
I wish these guys well and keep up the good work in the competitive solar market.

From the get go James was polite informative and profesional... the products James installs is quality reputable products used in this industry.James was not pushy even knowing I had put a deposit down with a not so reputable company. Fabulous experience with Forwood Energy
Quote was provided in a timely manor. Follow up call to explain quote and ensure we understood the reason for the products quoted. Fast response to all questions asked.Install was within 2 weeks of signing the contract. The guys arrived on time, got straight to work and were non stop all day in very hot conditions.
Everything was left clean and explained system and next steps before leaving.
After service was great and have already referred them on.

I should have done this years ago
Quick and easy from start to finish. No "jargon" and no pressure sales tactics. James was great straight of the gate and gave me all the info I needed and then some.System is great value for money and also looks great on the roof.
Installation was quick & easy (I didn't do it myself) and the installation team were great with their communication and professionalism.
Do yourself a favor and use Forwood Energy Group. Thanks James & the team.

Brilliant from start to finish 10/10
I had requested 3x quotations through Solarquotes and James was the first to email and call me back. James was professional and informative from the moment he made contact.Previous to Solarquotes I had spoken to 3 other installation companies. From all six, Forwood Energy Group were priced at #1 for the same grid connect system. 8kw Sungrow inverter, 28x Jinko Panels. 10.3kw
My solar system was fully installed in under 2 weeks from the moment James made contact.
The quality of workmanship in my opinion is as good as you will ever see. Therefore I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending James and his team for any solar installation in the future.

From start to finish, a very smooth process and great system
James was very quick to contact and ensure we were informed and understood what we were being quoted on, provided additional info above what was being asked to ensure we were clear on the response provided.A good quality system was installed and we are very happy with the power being supplied by it.

Forwood Energy - Forward leaning,.fortunate to have their service.
They practically had my business from the first phone call. Great communication by James during engagements. Explained in detail and answered all questions, selling their product well. Quoted a product that is most appropriate for my needs both costwise and functionally. No upselling or downselling, no bad mouthing other companies. Provided quality installers who were easy to get along with and completed a great job, even replacing cracked tiles located on my roof.Overall a pleasure to deal with and already seeing the monetary and less electricity use rewards. Recommend them to others. Partner has now booked them for installing solar in his house. Very glad i went to Solar Quotes for help, Thankyou , much appreciated.

Good prompt service.
Obtained a quote from James and found it was very competitive for price and the equipment quoted sounded like good value for money. Placed the order just prior to Christmas so was not expecting installation to happen as quick as it did. Whole system was installed by mid January. James advised of an expected date for installation and then had to change it due to weather but kept me updated. Actually got it installed one day earlier than expected.Steve the installer and his crew arrived on time and carried out the installation in a professional manner. When they were finished the connection had been done and everything was working as expected.
I would not hesitate to recommend James and Forwood Energy.

Delivered as promised
James was very upfront and candid about what he felt was required to meet our expectations from solar power. He was quick with his replies to our questions and provided a great system. Our installation was a little tricky and I should have probably pressed to have an assessment before installation. But despite a few unexpected obstacles, the installation team did a great job and made what was a tough install look effortless.14 December 2020
Really Awesome Team & Great Install
Every interaction with James was very easy and I genuinely felt like he was out to ensure we got a good system even if wasn't from him.We actually had another installer turn up and then cancel on the day as the install was to difficult for them. I reached back to James and we worked through the issues and planned the install accordingly.
The install was on time and executed to the plan. The install team was excellent and the quality of work was very high.
I would certainly recommend Forwood to anyone without any hesitation. They were excellent to deal with from start to finish.

Professional and friendly from the first call.
Right from my first phone call to James. the promptness of his responses we could not fault.He was easy to get on with, he was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions .
Customer service extended all the way thru to the 2 friendly installers, who were punctual and very professional and cleaned up the site before leaving, set up our app and showed us how to use it.
Our solar was connected within the timeframe discussed.

Terrible service leading to huge time between install and connection
James was friendly and helpful when I was looking at quotes. The install happened suddenly and I made the mistake of paying in full up front. If possible I would suggest with any installer holding a final payment until the system is connected as promised.James' electrician installer was excellent, and has helped substantially since. Initial install was June 2022. The problem started because we are in a townhouse complex which complicated the application for connection. I helped substantially with this providing the required information but the application was never completed. I ended up chasing James for over a year with weekly (literally) text messages and emails where he promised to get things sorted, then compensate me for the feed-in I had lost, but we only spoke about three times and he continued to not do as promised. Eventually over a YEAR after install I thankfully had the electrician's contact who helped me process the connection - after enquiring I found there were unpaid applications that were incomplete. Not only this, but I ended up completing the meter upgrade application myself with my retailer once feed in had been approved. Eventually I got the system correctly connected with the meter upgrade this January.
I have had installs before and thought I knew a lot about solar and installation, but got badly let down in this process. Thank goodness I was able to find a work around.
