A pleasure to deal with,
Helcro have been a pleasure to deal with at every stage of the process of getting solar installed and I have been very happy with their communication throughout, even after issues beyond both our control meant the installation had to be delayed everything was smoothed out and we got there in the end, very happy with the end result!Panel rating: 5/5

Excellent service and installation
The sales/quoting process was very efficient and the company responded to queries very quickly and clearly.The installation went very well, from the planning, scheduling and actual build. The people involved were tidy and polite, and not one roof tile was broken.
Customer service was also outstanding with responses provided to several queries during and after the install. They helped the grid connection through the inspectors report.
10 months later we asked Alan: "Are you happy with the performance of your system so far?"
Yes, I had to change electricity provider to get a better rate, but since then my solar system has performed very well. Unfortunately the buy back rate is only 5.5c compared with much higher prices in other States.05 November 2023
Tailored to our needs.
Living in a town house with little spare space for ugly things, we were very happy with the solution Helcro developed to make solar a hard working but largely invisible part of our home. Good communication, no over selling. And they delivered on time, with little fuss.30 October 2023

Impressed.
The Helcro team installed a PV solar and battery system with friendly service that came from the administration assistant (Jennie) to the senior management team (Lucas and Luke). The installation team was courteous, respectful, informative, skilled, worked with each other very well and tidied up every day.Ben, the lead of the installation team deserves special mention as being diligent, informative and friendly.
Weather interrupted the installation but the team was punctual with their time.
Installation was complicated by required work on the main switchboard and a new sub-board because of the necessary placement of the inverter and battery some distance away from the main switchboard.

Very happy
Everything was good. Clean, punctual, tidied up well, friendly, explained things. But I think the poor installer was tired at the end of 2 big days of work. So he had to return to get my signature and then return again to screw the metre box in tight enough for the lights to work. Still, overall, very happy!25 September 2023

Excellent Installer
Sales/ quoting was excellent. Helcro listened to my requirements in both price and equipment and came up with an appropriate installation. Solar Quotes was used often to check the quality of the proposal.Installation by Chispa Electric was prompt and efficient, with Andrew very good with explanations as the installation proceeded. The system was inspected in good time, and up and running far in advance of the period expected.

Don't look anywhere else!
Go Helcro all the way. The team - Luke, Lukas and Ben (installer) are the best suppliers I have worked with whilst building my home. They are responsive, reasonably priced, honest and got the job done. They optimised for what I needed and considered the aesthetics when they were installing. It was like it was their own house. I could really tell they had care and pride in their product.They were knowledgeable and the work that Ben did was a piece of art. All the cabling were contained within the walls neatly and considered its placement with much attention and care.
These guys are great. Dont waste your time looking anywhere else.

Great customer service
Quoting and sale process from Lukas and Luke was streamline and smooth. They took to time to call and attend site to answer questions in regards to system sizes and setups.Ben and the Installation team were a breeze, they were tidy, respectful and polite throughout the whole process.
We were fortunate to have our system commissioned on the same day as installation.
Delighted to have gone with Helcro.

Yes. We are under two years since installment and already earned back 30% of our initial investment. With the rising prices it'll have itself fully paid back within 6 years.24 May 2023
Nice installation
The quoting process was done nicely and smoothly. The price was very competitive and reasonable too. Installation was a breeze. Installers were polite , punctual and tidy. My system is relatively small so didn't take that long to finish.one let down was that on the day they couldn't put the inverter in the garage as discussed without an extra charge. it was put outdoor near the front door. Overall great company.

Quality Installation and good support
Sales and quoting service was the better of the two installers who quoted. The installation team was impressive -- no broken tiles, tiles angle ground to give clearance, polite and quick follow-up to an electrical fault which occurred during/after final inspection.Then my troubles started -- the Enphase app claimed twice as much production as was actually happening. It took some time for Helcro to believe me, but when they did the service was exemplary and the problem was found to be an obscure fault originating in the local Enphase equipment suppliers.

Excellent service and a quality installation.
The Helcro sales team were always responsive and polite. In particular they were quick to perform a site visit and were informative throughout the process. The installation team experienced some difficulties due to rain and with Fronius regarding one of their inverters, neither of which were in their control. Responsive and on the roof!
Helcro contacted me immediately and began the process of scoping and quoting our job. We have a tricky roof and Helcro were quick to put one of their team on the roof to determine exactly what was possible in terms of panel numbers and their location. They provided a range of options and had the technical support to review and decide upon the ideal solution. Installation was sub contracted to Chispa who did an excellent job.

Excellent service at a competitive price
I am delighted to write a positive review for Helcro Solar and their contractor, Andrew (Chispa Electrical). Their exceptional work installing an additional 10kW solar system and battery backup has left me incredibly impressed and satisfied.From the beginning, the team at Helcro Solar was professional and attentive to my needs. They provided me with a detailed consultation and worked closely with me to design a system that was tailored to my home and energy usage. Their expertise and attention to detail gave me confidence that I was getting the best solution for my needs.
Once the design was finalized, Andrew and his team got to work. We had slight delay with the chosen inverter due to supply chain issue, but I was kept informed the whole way. There were also able to schedule the installation around an unexpected issue to do with an external wall of my house. On the week of the installation, they were punctual, efficient, and respectful of my property. They took great care to ensure that the installation process was done with minimal disruption to my daily routine. Throughout the installation, Andrew kept me informed of the progress and answered any questions I had.
The quality of the workmanship was outstanding, and the system has been running flawlessly ever since. Despite only running for a couple of days, and the weather has been cloudy, I have seen a significant decrease in the amount of power drawn from the grid with my fronius app, and the battery backup has given me peace of mind during power outages.
Overall, I am thrilled with the service provided by Helcro Solar and Andrew. They are true professionals who go above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a high-quality solar system installation. Thank you, Helcro Solar and Andrew, for your excellent work!

Great communication

Seamless process, great customer service
Overall I had a great experience with Helcro Solar. They were very knowledgeable and were able to explain things to me clearly.The installation process was very smooth and professionally done.
Everyone I dealt with was very friendly and professional and gave me confidence that the job would be done well. The couple of challenges encountered along the way were handled well.
The system is working nicely with no issues so far - I’m very happy.

Great experience
I recently installed 19 Trina panels and a Fronius Gen24 from Helcro and it all went 100% smoothly. Luke and Lukas were great answering questions and accommodating all of our requests pre-install and Ben did a great job on the day. They were professional, courteous, and didn't leave a mess. They were also able to accommodate setting up a backup solar PV point. I am very happy with the system as installed and it is functioning as it should. They even reached out when the system went offline (due to issues with my wifi, not the inverter). Overall, a great experience!Panel rating: 5/5

Very happy customer
We’ve been super impressed with Helcro’s team, Luke, Lukas and Ben, who helped us to navigate the daunting process of getting solar from start to finish in just over a month. The system we were quoted was not the cheapest (or most expensive) but it was comprised of a good quality inverter (made in Austria) with very modern looking panels. Unlike the other two companies who provided us with quotes, Helcro made sure they visited the site for full details to ensure the quote fits our site and requirements, this also made for a smoother installation. On the day, Ben and his team powered through the inclement weather and went out of their way to help hide the cabling so that we achieved the most aesthetic outcome possible, not an easy feat with our double brick walls inside and out. Excellent customer service and knowledgeable
All went thru as planned. Installers took the time to find best option as I didn't want any conduit visible on exterior of house. Experienced friendly polite tradesmen cleaned up after completion. Great work by Helcro and the installer team
Luke from Helcro was excellent, he took the time to explain the value of the various options for panels and inverters. I spoke to several providers who just gave me a quote, rather than taking the time to actually outline the options and benefits of each. Excellent installation shame about the paperwork
The three quotes came in quickly but only one company insisted on a site visit, the other two declined saying it wasn't necessary. Because I was replacing an older 3kW PV only system with a larger system + battery I would only deal with a company that would do a site visit. As it happened Helcro was the most realistic with their assessment pricing was competitive (mid range of the 3) and they communicated with good technical information not a hard sales push. I also chose Helcro also because they used Lithium iron phosphate batteries and for safety and ethical reasons I didn't want cobalt in the battery. Having had solar I had a good idea of the usage pattern and upgraded their suggested battery size by adding an extra module to the BYD battery. Installation process was seamless and everything clicked in after the inspection. However, one month later the system dropped off the app. Turned out it was not a technical hitch with the inverter communicating with the app but a stuff up in the paper work with the energy supplier. Got that sorted and Helcro responded quickly, so now all is forgiven and the system is working brilliantly. Even in the middle of a Melbourne winter there are many days when we don't draw anything from the grid.Panel rating: 5/5

Good experience install
I got a number of quotes and spoke to each company rep about the system - Helcro were above and beyond the best - factual, straightforward and definitely not a pushy sales pitch. They weren’t the cheapest option, but we chose them because we felt most comfortable with them and the quality of the products they recommended. Great Customer Service
Helcro have been great to work with throughout the whole process. There was no hard sell, and they helpfully set out options to cover our unusual system requirements clearly. The team also provided additional information to assist me in getting planning permission. The installation itself was done smoothly and the grid connection happened all very promptly. All round great experience
Sales process was eficient, polite and informed. No hard sell and factual.Installers were an absolute pleasure to have on our property. As we installed a rather large system we had a number of people onsite and everyone of them was an absolute pleasure . They were respectful of our property and work commitments and also genuinely seemed to enjoy working together which is always the sign of a good team and company.
Customer service was fantastic and effortless. Good contact by email and phone.
Would recommend this firm to everyone and intend to refer to a number of our friends.

Professional and reliable
Quick response with quote which was slightly cheaper than other similar systems.NO pressure to buy. No upselling.
Actually had to upsell myself as I wanted something better than what they suggested.
Installation went smoothly and the guys were clearly very experienced.

Great service and high quality install
I selected Helcro after getting quotes from here and another site. Whilst my house on paper didnt present too many challenges, Helcro were the only installer that offered to come out to inspect before quoting. This was important to me as i have a newly built house and the position of the inverter as well as any conduit would impact the appearance.I had a fair idea of the equipment i wanted but they gave some advice here and we went for a slightly larger system.
The system has been up and running for around a month and appears to be generating well. The quality of the install is excellent and they have done a great job of minimising the visual impact. All up I am happy with Helcro as my solar installer.
