Absolutely atrocious. Avoid at all costs
We have just completed a massive renovation, covering virtually every part of our house, and our experience with Macedon Ranges Solar was by far the worst part of the entire process. The initial installation was done wrongly, so that every panel had to be removed and reinstalled. We then had a number of ongoing issues with the operation of the system. In spite of this, Luke (owner) insisted that we pay in full before the installers would leave. Knowing how he operates, I can understand why. They've basically disappeared on us since then, and it took the threat of the ombudsman to get him to answer my emails and resolve the last remaining issues.Now that the work is basically complete, I am getting zero support when required. No phone calls returned, no emails replied to. I would go anywhere other than Macedon Ranges Solar.

Local friendly installer, understanding and good quality
Very easy to deal with and down to earth. Being local means they understood my needs (panels on rural shed with a cable back to my switchboard). I was offered REC panels (high quality) at a discounted price. Quality of the installation is great, with dual inverters, however only issue was bits of cable tied were left strewn on the ground around the shed. The electrical install had some hiccups with circuit breakers tripping after on sunny days but that seems to be sorted now after a couple of follow up visits and upgraded units fitted.I have 2 x 5kW systems, each connected to its own phase (2 phase power). Works really well. 32 panels total.
Definitely recommend Macedon Ranges Solar Power. Small company and you get to know the individuals. Customer service is very good and are competitive in pricing.

After 12 months it still is generating plenty of power and working reliably. Haven't had any issues apart from occasional CB tripping but I think that's to do with my underground cabling. Happy with it all, overall and glad I had it installed with Macedon Ranges Solar Power.

Listened to what we wanted!
We were pleased that they came to the house to look/see where we wanted the panels placed, not just a recommendation from a drone photo! Installation was quick.The crew that came were lovely and polite and arrived when they said they would.
Everything was returned to its original place and there was absolutely nothing left behind in the way of rubbish.
All installation was handled by the company including final inspection by the appropriate authorities
Highly recommended!

Solid service
Most expensive quote but no-push advice, technical site inspection before installation, and good communication. Neat installation on time, and w a subsequent inspection for grid connection within a week.07 September 2021
These guys are a no bs company
Very Professional organisation. The best service and best advice. Matt came out and didn’t over sell our solution. Gave us realistic outcomes which was a nice change.22 January 2021

Excellent Service and Attention to detail with the installation
From the first meeting to the calls with the owner to clarify technical information/queries and to the installation, service was first rate. The installers took pride in their work and were polite, performed neat installation and were on time and ensured everything was working properly. They also gave good advice on different options for the make up of the system.Would recommend wholeheartedly.

The system has performed to my expectations and the installation was really good but I have since found that it was quite substantially overpriced compared to other installers who offer more for less without reducing quality.If I had my time again I would get the same system but I now know I would have saved a lot of money had I gone with another installer.

MRSP was prompt to visit and quote, not pushy, and were more than happy to answer any questions i had.The installers were brilliant, took time to hide cables in a double story wall cavity, and after they finished, tidied up and took all rubbish away.
Unable to fault their workmanship.

Excellent service provider
We went with a local business recommended to us by others who have had installations completed. When in a country town, always found it worthwhile using locals where possible.Quoting process honest and straightforward. Installation was done quickly, done very neatly.
After installation, they handled every detail until the system was connected to our retailer. Also very helpful and patient in assisting the setup of our app for monitoring production.
Could not have asked for more.

Quick & Efficient service
I sought 3 quote and received them quickly. Once I made the decision to go with MRSP they had the system installed within 2 weeks. We are not yet connected to the grid as I am waiting for the final inspection which MRSP have committed to organising. Once the STC and SolarVic rebates have been discounted I paid $7200 for the system.7 months later we asked Noel: "Are you happy with the performance of your system so far?"
Yes it has. We have modified our routines to use power during the brightest times of the day. If I am reading my account correctly the panels are supplying about 40% of our daily electricity usage.24 December 2019

They got the job because they were a bit cheaper and they addressed my questions very positively. They did a really great job and their paperwork was all done good for the rebate which will go through soon hopefully. It has performed exactly as I'd hoped it would. Also, it should be noted that I had the installer use 6.0mm cable for the approximately 12 metres of run from my metering panel to the inverter which he did for no extra charge.I can't fault the install or it's performance. I've also had cause to contact the installer since and he was very obliging with the information I needed.

Quotation process informative and followed up with a pre-installation inspection. MRSP very helpful with the rebate process. Installation carried out by two polite and diligent staff members. Installation is neat and functioning to specifications. Grid connection formalities to be finalised with retailer. MRSP has in hand. Overall very satisfied customers.Inverter rating: 4/5

Our thanks to Luke and his hard working people who worked onsite. Our system was installed on time under pretty tough conditions. It is now up and running, all within 24 hours. Of course, the savings we might make, only time will tell, but our experience with the people from Macedon Ranges Solar Power was excellent. Our sales contact, Matt was very helpful. Highly recommended.

Competent, good communication
The site inspection went and quoting went well. All questions were answered.Installation was completed in less time that expected. Staff were pleasant and competent.
Connection of the inverter to the wifi could not be completed on the day and a subsequent appointment has been organized.
The grid connection was not discussed. I assumed it was part of the installation.
