MTS NSW PTY LTD (Trading as MTS Solar) is an electrical and solar contracting business servicing northern New South Wales and Queensland. Managing Director, Matt McGarry, has 15 years experience in the electrical field with a background in domestic, commercial and solar projects. The business has undergone substantial growth over the past 6-8 years since expanding in the renewable energy sector, with the entire team being professional licensed electricians who are committed to excellence.

Our team are Clean Energy Council (CEC) accredited installers and designers of PV systems. We are also highly skilled in the rapidly emerging energy storage sector, having installed many of the leading battery brands for our clients, including the Tesla Powerwall 2 and LG Chem Lithium batteries. We are well known in the industry for our high quality of work, with out reputation now seeing us sought after to design and install large scale solar systems for some of Australia’s leading solar companies

Salesperson good, installation good, accounts dept terrible. Kept asking for the bill to be paid after the account was paid. Asked several times to have it rectified via email and on each occasion no reply to my emails. Original ratings

8 months later we asked Jeff: "Are you happy with the performance of your system so far?"

Yes, power bills have so far been less than $100 from a usual cost of up to $400. We have had no reason to ask for any service from MTS (the suppliers and installers} but occasional phone contact has been useful.

The only provider you suggested that was truely local. You might want to review the way you put forward providers. There are a number of providers you recommend that are much closer (more local) to me than the ones you put forward. It’s a big deal in the bush!!!! Original ratings

MTS Solar make sure that the locals from the bush get their fair go and a chance to have a quality solar system installed by our highly qualified technicians.

No. Lots of issues with the set up of wifi communications (Chinese support!!) and the inverter failed after about 6 months. Replacement (from China) took way too long meaning we were not producing power for close to a month.
Installers were pretty good trying to get it sorted however, as you’d probably expect, new sales/customers are more important than the old ones!!!
Panels seem to be working well so I’ve rated the overall system as average; the inverter experience has dragged that rating down.

From the first call from Shawn, I was fully informed on my options regarding solar. He has full understanding about solar & shares thus with you, giving info on different sites to look up etc. Service was prompt & professional. The installation from Matt & his workers was also professional & was informed on the day of install on what was best to place the panels for optimum energy. I would highly recommend MTS Solar for anyone looking to install solar system without the sales pressure. Pleasure doing business with this team, THANKS

Installer turned up on time - did the job - cleaned up completely no mess at all - polite - efficient -worked safely-

I am not easily impressed having been in construction for over 30 years dealing with varied contractors . MTS did what they said they would do, how and when they said they would do it - reliable, truthful, professional.

So far i cannot comment on performance of the supplied system as it is not up and running have been waiting for a Smart meter install ( i was advised up front about delays due to demand for this item by MTS consultant )

Of the three quotes I got, it was MTS who looked at the mix of things that I had and what I needed, not just selling me a 5KW system. MTS installed very fast and I went with a battery option as well and I am very happy with the system and the service from MTS.

Brigid’s job, was a fantastic project to complete and too have up and running. Brigid choose too go with one of our MTS Premium solar system’s using LG Panels and Enphase micro inverters. The system was also fitted with three Enphase Batteries, this see’s stored solar power supplied to the home for night time usage.
With the Enphase monitoring system in place we can see the batteries supply the load right through the night with some charge still left by early morning, the solar system simply tops this up again during the next day to do it all over again that night.

The customer has just recently informed me that the electricity bill is now back in credit owing to Brigid. Get Hybrid solar, Get away from the grid.

CONSULTANT conducted a full site inspection evaluated what our best options were, was patient and very informative, giving precise knowledgable information , he explained in full detail the process and sequence of events resulting in no misunderstandings,exactly what we needed to know . A follow up call after installation confirmed that he did exactly what he said he was going to do .
INSTALLERS arrived as arranged on time were polite and installed system efficiently and safely in tradesman like manner cleaned up and placed all recycle packaging in appropriate bins we did not have any mess to deal with after they left .

I am not easily impressed having spent more than 35years in the construction industry having had to deal with contractors and their work crews
I could not fault this experience

It has be 7 weeks since the system was installed and it is not connected to the grid yet . So not very happy.

We sorted out the issue with our customer Doug. Was a metering issue from his retailer.

Unfortunately the customer has had a bad experience with his energy retailer, the energy retailer had not created a work number for this, this was lost in their system. MTS Solar took on the issue, even when it’s nothing to do with MTS Solar. MTS Solar went the extra step to finding a meter and supplied it at no cost. The customer since contracted his own cert2 electrician and has had the solar system turned on and fully operational.

The customer since has left his old energy retailer and signed with a new company and is now on a better deal than before.
