Far the best option out of the three presented
Comprehensive quoting and explanation of products and their functions / features.Thought through and in-depth answers to my questions
Installation was punctual and quick, they cleaned up after themselves to the last cable tie clip offs.
Assisted getting on to the monitoring system and organized all the paperwork for the registration with the grid.

- it was really beneficial to have the quote by the person who was going to install the system- the installers were polite and efficient
- after installation, the main installer waited to ensure that I could access the app on my phone and helped problem solve when there was an issue

Great installation
Recently had a 6.6kw system installed to replace my aging failing system. Ryan expertly diagnosed my existing issues and recommended a suitable replacement. I can honestly say Ryan and his team performed the installation beyond my expectations. They were professional in all aspects of their work, arrived on time, were very tidy, and completed in two days. I can't believe what a difference the upgraded system has made in the short period since being commissioned. I would highly recommend relying on Ryan and his team if you are thinking of going solar.Panel rating: 5/5

Identified and communicated previous install faults. Went out of his way to rectify faults which was a total pull apart and re install. Install a great new array and set the system up correctly
sales was specific and detailedinstallation was punctual and quick.
Direct and no bullshit on problems and how to fix them.
Went out of his way to get previous installer held accountable.

Good value and good installer
I got three quotes from Solar Quotes and Ryan's was the most competitive - the other quotes were from larger installers who I assume have more overhead (offices, and office staff).Installation was quick and painless (given the wet weather). Ryan and his assistant were friendly got the job done quickly. and left the place as they found it. They turned up on time and got it done.
Communications from Ryan could be a bit better - a quick phone call to give updates would get a 5 star rating. I was left wondering what's going on a couple of times, which a quick text or phone call would have fixed. Otherwise all good!
I can recommend Optimum Solar.

Up and running in a day
Ryan visited my house and sat and explained everything i wanted to know, went through my energy bill and worked out the size system i needed.I asked about batteries and he explained the technology is probably another 3 years away before becoming affordable.
The wet weather put things on hold for a bit but when installation day arrived the two of them had the system up and running by the end of it.
Me and technology don't get on but with Ryan's help I now have the app on my phone up and running and can see how much power the panels are generating and how much is being used and what is being fed into the grid.
So all and all I'm happy and cant wait for the next power bill

Awesome experience all round
I was extremely impressed with the quality of service, flexibility & consultative nature Ryan brought to the whole Solar process. He was straight forward without any of the cringey sales-y push, doing his best to get the maximum number of panels installed. Right from the first time I spoke to Ryan right through to the after-installation support, he has been available and helpful. Throughout the installation process he was informative (no question was too dumb) and consultative (right down to the horizontal and vertical positioning of the inverter in the garage, as well as location of conduits). If I ever move again, I will be getting the Optimum Solar Energy team to come and install Solar on my new property. I cannot recommend them highly enough.16 May 2021
Great work
Ryan and his team did a great job installing solar on my home. I got several quotes to find the best option, and Ryan stood out as he offered the best price, but also was the easiest to engage with. He was responsive to both phone and email, and clearly explained the difference between the various options - without being overly salesy. Based on his advice I didn’t go with the cheapest option, but instead picked a SolarEdge based system, which is serving me well. And last but not least, he is local which makes everything so much easier!The installation went very smooth. Ryan and Josh worked tirelessly to get the job done quickly, but didn’t cut any corners in their attention to detail. They made sure everything looked neat, the cables are tucked away, and they sweeped the area before they left.
He also setup the app for me and took care of all the other administration around the dealings with Energex and the like.
Overall I highly recommend Optimum Solar Energy if you’re in the market for solar.

Great experience
If you're reading the reviews to decide whether to choose OSE for solar, do it!Ryan was very professional without the cringey salesman nonsense I got from other companies. He was thorough in his explanations and answers to my numerous questions. Pricing was very competitive and he went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with every detail from the panel orientation/layout to the exact height the inverter was mounted at.
Having just built a new house I have worked with many tradespeople and I can say from start to finish, this was the best experience.

Excellent solar specialist
I was seeking a local solar specialist who I could deal with directly initially - and then ongoing if I needed any further help.I considered other providers, but none of them stacked up well versus Ryan and his team at Optimal Solar Energy.
All my research did not disappoint and Ryan and his team were excellent! They explained everything well and installed the system with good advice as to what I needed and didn't need. They installed the system over 2 days, even though it was raining and the weather wasn't ideal. Ryan also said to call him directly if I had any questions or there were any issues in future.
