Founded in 2010 by brothers Troy and Mathew, Renewable Energy Australia is a small but proud solar company serving both Adelaide and Melbourne. Troy runs the Adelaide office from Norwood, and Mathew runs the Melbourne office from Safety Beach. We aim to build a great relationship with customers both before and after the sale.
We pride ourselves on installing premium solar and/or battery systems for customers who care about quality. With hundreds of installations under our belt over the last 9 years (see the images above to check out examples of our handiwork), we've become quite good at leaving customers energy bills in a much better place than we found them.
One of the more unique recent examples of our work is a 30kW system installed on Little Bang Brewing Company in Stepney, Adelaide.

Satisfactory
The quoting, installation and connection was all satisfactory. The system still has an issue connecting to the monitoring software, this is being handled by the company. Greg has been great to communicate with.8 months later we asked Ray: "Are you happy with the performance of your system so far?"

Top service from local solar company
I know a bit about solar but I lam no expert. Greg from Renewable Energy Australia talked me through the options and was attentive to my needs. He didn't make any promises he couldn't keep. And the system was installed professionally.The only downside was that the installation was not put on as it had been designed, so the installers had to come back to move some panels. It wasn't a big deal but it does show how important it is to have good communication, both with the provider and between the provider and installer.
8 months later we asked Ian: "Are you happy with the performance of your system so far?"
The system has met my expectations but the monitoring app is poor and is not well supported07 June 2021
Thoughtful, punctual and reasonable
We were wary of fly-by-night operators in residential solar, so we chose a family-owned local provider with years of service. It was certainly the right decision. Troy and his team to be relaxed and patient in answering our questions before we signed up and right through to (and beyond) installation. It was not the fault of this provider, but there was an issue with our fusebox/power board that was not picked up by the meter installer and it needed a new backing board to be ready for the smart meter. Renewable Energy Australia took this on board and took responsibility to see this through (great leadership and customer service). For a modest fee (and we're talking little more than $50), Troy organised the materials from a hardware store and refitted it all, keeping in touch so that the connection with the smart meter company (a pretty disinterested third party that gets paid for *attending* a job, not doing it) did its job to connect us to the grid. In short, it was a pleasure dealing with the whole team of Renewable Energy Australia and if you don't want solar with a helping of sales talk and stress, then go with this provider. I was a bit disorganised with paying the balance on my bill and they were so good about it (though don't be a duffer like me). Oh and the price was great and we are enjoying our system.26 April 2021

Of my three quotes, Renewable were the only ones to send a rep to meet with me. The installation with super smooth and quick. My grid connection was up and paying me back in short order.Inverter rating: 4/5

Great Sales Person and Best Price
Like everyone, I used Solar Quotes as my first step to learn about the Solar System and familiarise myself with this new and different industry that I knew little about. I used the offer of getting three quotes, and Greg from Renewable (REA) was one of them. My biggest reason for going with REA was the way Greg handled the query. He kept the contact, called to understand my need, budget, what I am looking for, what is important to me and then provided me with options. He was never shy of answering all my questions and making me fully aware of the process and system. Not at all pushy salesperson, patiently explaining and ensuring in building a relationship. He provided great pricing to complement the excellent service. Installation was smooth, on-time and hassle-free.I highly recommend REA and the team to anyone looking at the installation of the Solar System.

Very happy overall, from start to finish.
I've heard many horror stories and tales of harassment sales tactics, so naturally I was quite wary in approaching various solar companies for a quote for a system at my property. One of the companies I approached met my expectation of consistent annoyance, the other didn't even provide me with a quote, and the third, Renewable Energy Australia, pleasantly surprised me. The sales person (Jack) was courteous and overall non-pushy. He answered my questions timely and politely. Greg, from Renewable Energy came out and gave the place an inspection. Greg was incredibly friendly but professional. Answered my queries and overall re-enforced my overall positive feeling of Renewable Energy so far.To that end, I proceeded to sign the contract and get the system installed.
On the day of the install, the electricians that came out, Brad & Blake, were great. Brad answered my questions and overall conducted himself in a fantastic professional manner. Greg came out again during the install to make sure everything was okay, which I appreciated.
It's been a few weeks since the system has been up and I couldn't be happier with the overall experience I had with Renewable Energy. I will be recommending this company to my friends and family. The customer service and non-pushy sales tactics were a stand-out for me. Well done Jack, Greg, Brad, & Blake.

Great service, good product
Sales person was on point, visited the premises and kept us up to date. Only waited 2 weeks for Installation when other providers gave 7 weeks turnaround. Happy with the quality of the product. Grid connection had no issue.Inverter rating: 5/5

Best service, took time to explain
I was pretty well informed about solar but had a heap of questions since i have a part shaded roof. For us the motivation for solar was the environmental benefit more than the cost savings. So i wanted someone that was prepared to come to site and could answer all our questions and was passionate about solar. Greg came on site and provided the quote promptly and then i had several question re the installation as it was going to be somewhat complicated. Troy (the owner) came to site for a 2nd visit to talk my through in detail the install before i committed. No pressure and a pleasure to deal with them. A couple of small issues arose after install which were quickly attended to. Would have no hesitation in recommending the team from Renewable Energy Australia.Inverter rating: 5/5

Excellent Solar Experience
We own a home with a tin tile roof, which many companies would not quote on. Renewable Energy Australia were professional and provided us with an excellent product. The quotation process was detailed and timely. The installation was quick and they cleared away all rubbish. We had one minor issue, which was fixed immediately. Great outcome
I couldn't be happier.Checked out three companies and Troy was the only person who came to my place to check it out before providing his quote. He is easy to deal with, explained things simply and there was no pressure.
The whole process was very easy and ran smoothly. Installers were flexible and obliging when I wanted to move the battery and location of panels.
A great outcome - the system is running beautifully and is great fun to monitor on the app. I made the right choice.

Value for money solar system from an excellent supplier.
Sales quote process was very factual, informative, polite, non pushy or aggressive. The proprietor of the company was involved for the entire process and made an on-site visit to verify the optimum positioning of the panels. Pricing was reasonable for the system chosen as I did not require a top of the range system. The installation was done on the day promised by very pleasant, efficient installers who left the premises cleaner than they were to start with! The customer service was excellent at all times.I had been recommended this company by a friend and I am very glad that I went with them. I have no qualms about recommending this company to anyone looking further than the flashy-selling, flashy-advertising companies that abound.

REA is a very reputable, reliable business. Communication is outstanding. Troy is easy to do business with. Fantastic team
We had Troy come and quote for the panels. We appreciated his honesty and kindness. They were on time, polite with excellent customer service.All of the installers were very respectful and kind. I would highly recommend. Absolutely trust worthy company. We have had 3 properties done by them with the four to come. No sales pitch - just very honest hard working men.

Troy Taylor organised my solar system from design to installation in a very prompt manner. There was no overselling or trying to push a particular product. I was given options, able even to do my own research and also been well informed of costings, warranties, etc. He was respectful to my needs and therefore I am very happy with my purchase.Panel rating: 5/5

Great service and installation
I selected Renewable Energy Australia because of the competent and professional manner in which Troy Taylor advised and took care of our installation. The job went smoothly thanks to the first class tradespeople Troy provided.Another of the major reasons I selected Renewable Energy Australia, of the 3 companies they were the only ones prepared to price on the basis of the STC credits which I was more than happy to assign to them.
Good service and a great installation....I highly recommend Renewable Energy Australia to other prospective solar customers!

Installers put panels on eastern side of house? Coming back to fix that.
I think I paid a little too much, maybe $1,000, and could have saved some of that, but the salesman came out to see me, and that is what tipped the scales in their favour.

Hi Rosemary, Thank-you for your feedback, you mentioned in my previous visit that you have seen cheaper systems on the Television, I explained that not all systems are the same and before you gave me the order you wanted to be reassured that we were putting in a good Solar system. I originally priced you a Fronius inverter with a SunPower panel and then we altered it to a Suntech panel to be more cost effective. As per Solar Quotes rating sheet we have installed an excellent inverter with a mid range panel. I have really enjoyed getting to know you and I thank-you for the customers you have passed on to me and your high recommendation to them.Kind Regards

Not the cheapest system, but should get good efficiency and longevity. Overall, a relatively stress-free process.

We Are on-Line
A problem free installation process. From quoting to ordering to installation , through to going on-line we have a problem free experience. The combination of RENEWABLE ENERGY AUSTRALIA and their installer Solar Smart Electrical provided a service without a hitch. We have the panels on-line, and are approved for feed-in tariffs. Yes, I would say it has in general performed according to expectations. The only disappointment is that the system will not run the ducted refrigerated air conditioning system. The system appears to pull more power faster than the panels and battery can support. Grid power is added in to run the system. I am arranging for the A/C to be checked to ensure such a situation is correct.
