Very good value. Competent installation. Good service
The sales people were excessively persistent but I was attracted by the very low price and very acceptable quality of the equipment. Reviews were good although the the number of reviews was not as high as some competitors. Despite some misgivings I accepted the quote for a larger than usual (10.1 kw ) system which I thought necessary given the shadows from surrounding trees and our decision to buy an EV. Installation was quick and well done, helped by our flat site, easy access and low pitched roof. It is now a month since installation and we are very pleased with the amount of power being produced. Often it is up to 8 kw (the max possible) for several hours (on sunny days). We expect the system to pay for itself in 3-4 years, maybe earlier if electricity prices continue to rise. The only downside we experienced was the difficulty in connecting with the Growatt Inverter app. The Growatt technician and the SunSelect reps were very patient and eventually we made the connection to our wifi system, which now works well.10 months later we asked William: "Are you happy with the performance of your system so far?"

Fast Installation. Working well.
The sales staff (Oscar) was very patient over the extended negotiation process (I took a lot of time deciding which way to go with so many choices out there). I put off committing to the deal for months after paying a $100 deposit. But when I did, they booked the installation date within a week. There was a bit of a hiccup after two of the panels feel and broke as they were unloading them. Their contracted installer was honest in telling me about it and promised to come back in a couple of days to put in the last two panels. It took a week but they got it done and now our system is fully running and it is working well. I compared notes with a friend who also has a 13.2kW system. Ours generated 79.5kWh yesterday (October 17, 2023) while theirs (one year older, maybe needs cleaning?) apparently just did 45kWh. I has been eight days and I am happy so far.Panel rating: 5/5

No Communication
Terrible communication. Terrible service. They failed to deliver the materials for installation multiple times. Failed to inform me no one was coming. Was given a bunch of excuses. You get what you paid for I guess .23 July 2023
The whole operation went very smoothly.
Everything was done very smoothly and efficiently. I was a bit unhappy about one thing, though. I have 8 panels facing east and 8 panels facing west. I didn't realise how much shade there is now on the west side of my roof due to some very tall gum trees, even though they are long way from the house. The installer didn't say anything, though they must have noticed. I would have gone ahead anyway, as I am getting half a day of power in winter and still expect to get full output in summer, when it will be most useful, for aircon.You didn't ask why I didn't use your preferred suppliers. Helio requested information via email, which I supplied, and they never got back to me. Soltek quoted a very expensive micro inverter system. When I said I had found information on the web that said they were of questionable benefit, they quoted for a standard inverter but it was still over 50% more expensive than my other quotes, for the same products. They were also slow to respond. SunSelect has very good feedback from a large number of customers and I was not disappointed with the service.

Great customer service, very responsive and good communication
I highly recommend Alex who worked with me from the start to finish in providing quotation, coordination and ongoing communication. Great person to deal with, professional, polite and patiently answered all my questions.The installation took place ahead of schedule. There was a glitch with the installation, but Alex was very quick to rectify the situation.
Ruby from customer service was also great and very responsive with all my queries. The end to end process was clearly explained to me with all the necessary assistance provided.

Installation was simple and Ann made it all come together
The quote process was simple . They did it all and could sit back .The installation went well and cleaned up at the end of the day , very Polite .
Everything was done I did not have to lift a hand or make a call the sola was quoted , I excepted the quote and I did not have to do anything else .

All aspects of this experience was first rate.
1. The quoting was timely and competive.2. All components arrived the day before installation.
3. Confirmation of installation was provided.
4. The team carried out the installation in a tradesman manner (a very high standard)
5. The grid connection was organised. However, not connected at this stage.

Reliable and efficient
Solar panel installation was demanding job for some, and it took a while for me to research and find out about the suitable company to do that. Do not use Sunselect
Do not use this company, They outsource their installations to cowboys that don't show up and put no care into their work. We had a system upgraded a year ago and only through our rising electricity bills we found that the system was not producing one drop of energy.Sunselect were contacted and it was up to myself to attempt to fix the system remotely. When that didn't work I had to upload electricty bills and take multiple series of photos before any tradesmen were contacted. And when they were contacted I was advised they would attend on certain days and never show up.
When a tradie did show up he was on his own and scratched the absolute crap out of the new roof removing every solar panel by himself to chech the wiring. After 3 more tradies over 2 months it was determined the inverter was faulty and did not work from the start. Sunselect said it was my fault for not checking the system in the first place when it was installed a year ago. I explained we payed automatic direct debit on our utility bills so we would not know if it was functioning or not. They declined to take any responsibility.

Great Customer service
Dealt with Eric over the phone & via email in relation to activating the Solar panel App.Eric was very patient in explaining the process & would always provide follow-up phone calls when promised.
As a new customer, I am very happy with the level of service provided so far.

Great support
I received great support recently to assist me in setting up the Shine phone app to monitor my solar panels. I had a problem with this but Sunselect service manager, Eric, did everything he could to assist me through this process, he was in regular contact and kept me up to date with what was happening.I thought good customer service is something that’s rare now days but Eric restored my faith

Solar Install
A few of the companies recommended, simply wanted to tell Erin how good they thought they were, and not focus on the needs of the customer. She chose Sunselect because they answered her concerns about the system cost, what she wanted and gave her 5 options she could choose from in terms of balancing a budget and system needs...after her needs were sorted they then went into how they keep their quality and system warranties...This 1.00 star review was removed at the request of the reviewer

Sun Select - Great Experience
The sales and quote procedure was an easy process with the sales representative providing a competitive quote which lower when the Sun Select introduced a special during the weekend that I received the initial quote.The took place within 3 weeks of paying the small deposit. The installers arrived on time, were polite an finished the day and included a efficient clean up.
The only suggestion I would have to improve the process would be for the installers to add the shine app to my iPhone.
I connected the customer service who was most helpful in adding the app to my iPhone .
I have not had to contact the service department in any regard to grid connection after installation

Poor customer service - do not use
I've spent the last 2 months trying to get solar sorted thru this company but the sales/installation teams are incompetent & with poor communication I had to pull the pin. Started off with sales, accepted the quote & paid my deposit. Was told 'do not worry, all will be sorted shortly' while waiting while waiting for confirmation from Energy Co. Given 2 installation dates, both no show by installation team. Told this was my fault because they put the account in my Mums name, even though numerous calls asking for this to be corrected. Handballed to the installation team, who were unable to communicate amongst themselves. Still managed to call my Mum to discuss my account on several occasions & finally ended up telling me they were unable to honour my original quote & would need to pay more & accept a different product. They even laughed at me when I said I would give negative feedback saying 'i'm not even a customer & ridiculous'. I've requested a refund of my deposit.I recommend staying far away from this company. By far the worst customer service I have ever dealt with.

Amazing value
The sales rep was very pushy but I kept pushing quotes between another and Sunselect as they both claim they won't be beaten on price. It was fun watching this game of "chicken" and eventually the other blinked first.Sunselect gave me 13.2 kW for $5550, which feels like outstanding value to me.

Response sales team, great installers, system works!
The sales and quoting went smoothly and they were patient with my variations as I shifted through the options. The end price was very competitive. The installers arrived on time, were efficient and polite, did the job neatly and competently, and cleaned up after their work. The Growatt/Shine monitoring wifi system was set up quickly by the installers and myself. The system is operating as expected, although it is early days. I am very happy so far.Inverter rating: 5/5
