About

Harbour Energy was founded by experienced professionals who are passionate about quality solar systems and backed with a focus on customer service.

Our difference is we have in-house installation capability. We custom-design and install the systems ourselves which means you won’t get a sub-contractor turning up to site who’s never been to your house before.

We provide residential and commercial work across Sydney and surrounds and are based in Marrickville. 

Our Managing Director has been involved in Research in Development in solar panels since 1995 and has worked on some of the most critical aspects of solar cell technology.

Previously, Harbour Energy traded as SunPeak Australia.

Informed and Professional

Just had a 12.4kWH system installed using REC panels and the process has been easy. Carl Zirn came out and provided a very clear and concise explanation, the quote was reasonable and the installation has been professional and clean. The team takes pride in its work and the installation is barely noticeable from the street. Carl warned us that we would probably become obsessed with watching the ‘Solar Edge’ app to see how much power the system is producing - and he was right. It’s only day 2 but I am checking the app every hour to see the output of the system and our power consumption. We fully expect to change some of our habits now that we know how the various electrical appliances impact power use. Looking forward to reaping the benefits of a lower energy bill! Thanks to Carl and team - glad we chose to work with you.

The Best Installer!

The Best Customer Experience.
Quoting process was clear, well laid out and easy to understand.
Installation was done in the most professional manner by Carl Zim and his team.
You will not be able to find a better installer than Carl Zim.
Daily electricity production is amazing given our many varied roof angles and orientations.
We are able to charge our Plug In Hybrid car on cloudy days!
Now we can get reverse cycle air-con...and eventually convert to a fully electric home run on renewables.
Harbour Energy know what they are doing. They are up to date with the Energy Transition.
I wholeheartedly recommend Harbour Energy. I would use them again and again!

customer service at its highest!

we found the sales and quoting very simple and very explanatory.
the installation was done in time and very tidy. our garage where the inverter was installed was left pristine.
the after installation service was also exceptional and we were contacted and explained the grid connection, app for monitoring power usage etc.

A great team - Very satisfied.

The team from Harbour Energy were great to work with. They missed my solarquotes' enquiry but were swift to get in touch and quote after the solarquotes' follow up. Their quote came out best $/kWh and their communication was fast and professional. Their quote was conservative about the number of pannels I caould fit, but their install team requoted for a great maximum. They had a scheduled spot come up and were available in under 2 weeks. I have an old house with a few quirks you find as you go - the install team were super supportive and helpful with the requirements of the tile and colourbond roof combination. The install took longer than planned, but the team worked on all available days until complete with good communication during. The team even installed an additional hot water timer and gave some further energy advice. Their support team are still fielding my detailed metering questions. I rate them and have recommended them to neighbours who are following suit.

Fast and efficient

The quote was quick, easy to understand, detailed and explicit. The installation was done very quickly after accepting the quote and in my absence. I was sent pictures of progress. When I returned home, the system was installed and functioning, with no left over wire or packaging left around the house. I was sent all the details for monitoring the system and everything that was needed by my energy supplier for the system to connect in, was sent through. Overall I was really impressed!

These guys went over the top to ensure that everything was working and up to scratch.
They did significant prep time to ensure that what i ordered would work.
My house is a bit on the older side and with a very difficult pitched roof.
They operated safely and ensured that my system and the existing wiring would work well together.
They continue to take an interest in the system with me despite having done the job.

Outstanding experience with Sunpeak. We clearly have a complicated roof, one of the suppliers said it wasn't possible, the other said we could get 2KW max, Sunpeak spent the time (including a house visit and clambering on the roof) to design a 6.6 kw system. From the get go the team were simply awesome to deal with. Reece spent heaps of time talking us through the options, and Carl and the team were on-site within 2 weeks and it is clear these guys are not just installers, they are craftsmen. The result is a fantastic system that is exceeding our expectations.
