Michael's Waaree Energies Pvt Panels Review & Verdict

Michael Bloch covers the latest developments in home electrification for SolarQuotes.

Indian solar manufacturing giant Waaree Energies has eyed Australia for some time, and it seems the company had panels available here a few years ago. Then in 2024, the firm set up an Australian subsidiary; but what its intentions are is anyone's guess at this point — so we'll keep an eye on what they get up to.

Company Info

The Waaree Group is a conglomerate of different companies operating in a diversified set of industries such as petroleum equipment and process control instrumentation, industrial valves and, of course, renewable energy (in particular photovoltaic energy).

The group was founded in India in 1989 and since then it has grown into a multinational company active in dozens of countries. In terms of solar panels, Waaree Energies currently produces N-Type TOPCON, PERC, polycrystalline and flexible modules along with panels for Building Integrated Photovoltaics (BIPV) and agrivoltaic (solar on farms) applications.

Waaree Energies In Australia

In late 2024, Waaree set up wholly-owned subsidiary in Australia named Waaree Renewable Energies Australia Pty Limited, with its registered office in Sydney’s Parramatta. Exactly what Waaree’s intentions for this subsidiary are weren't clear at the time, but perhaps we'll see some of the company's modules on the Clean Energy Council's approved panels list soon.

But according to the firm, its panels have been CEC listed before. In December 2020 Waaree announced it had earned listings for its mono, poly and bifacial modules. As at March 2025, none of these products appear to be listed.

Warranty Information

At the time of updating this page, Waaree offered a 12 year product and materials warranty and a 25-year to 30-year performance guarantee; depending on the solar panels involved. Now it has set up shop here again, perhaps warranty claims will be simpler, but it hasn't yet published its Australian contact details. As always, the best place to start with a warranty claim is with the company that installed your panels.

If you've had Waaree solar panels installed on your home, consider leaving a review. And if you're in the market for a solar system, see the solar panel brands we currently recommend.
