Giant Power Inverters In Australia

In the mid-2010's, Giant Power had several inverters approved for use in Australia by the Clean Energy Council; but who the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) was isn't clear. These units were all from the IPS series, in capacities ranging from 1.6 kW to 4 kW.

The IPS was a multi-function inverter/charger, combining inverter, MPPT solar charger and battery charger. The units had an LCD display and button operation offering user-configurable options such as battery charging current, AC/solar charger priority, and acceptable input voltage based on different applications.

The units measured 128 x 272 x 355 mm - 140 x 295 x 540 mm depending on the model, and weighed 7.4 kilograms to 13.5 kilograms.

The CEC listings for IPS inverters expired in 2020.

Warranty Details

As best as we can tell, Giant Power IPS inverters were accompanied by a 5-year warranty; meaning none still installed would be covered.
