Company Info

Established in 1999, Power Master Technology once manufactured sine wave inverters, solar inverters, inverter chargers, UPS units and battery chargers.

Around the middle of 2019, it appears the company either changed tack or was acquired, as the website went offline for a while and re-emerged with a new look and new brand -  Kaiyang Holding Group. While still using the Power Master Technology logo and still at the same address (as it is today), there was a change in focus to solar power plant design, planning, construction and maintenance. The company continued supplying inverters for a while, but these products had disappeared off the revamped website by late 2021.

Power Master Technology Inverters In Australia

When Power Master Technology solar inverters were being supplied into Australia, there were several models that appeared to be approved for use here by the Clean Energy Council; but we can't find a historical record:

  • PM-2000GT (2 kW)
  • PM-3000GT (3 kW)
  • PM-4000GT (4 kW)
  • PM-5000GT (5 kW)

These were transformerless inverters that featured single or dual MPPT (depending on the model) and had an LCD screen. Power Master Technology string inverters were hefty beasts, weighing in at 26 - 30 kilograms. A 5 kW inverter today weighs around half that.

We were unable to locate any warranty details for these inverters. If you're having issues, try contacting the company that supplied/installed the inverter (as they have warranty responsibility too) for further information.

If you're considering buying a new inverter, check out our comprehensive guide.
