Michael's Smart Power Technology Inverters Review & Verdict

Smart Power Technology Inverters: Pros & Cons

  • Company no longer exists

About Smart Power Technology

Smart Powertech Electric Co., Ltd  focused on the R&D , manufacture and sales of electronic products, with most of its products exported from its factory in Shanghaii.

The company boasted a factory area of 6,000 square meters and 600 workers, 40 of those engineers. Smart Powertech specialized in the development, manufacturing and sales of automotive electronics and power supplies.  The company claimed its products were exported to more than 50 countries and also provided OEM and ODM services to "some famous brand name companies".

The firm disappeared by 2013.

Smart Power Technology Inverters In Australia

The firm had several inverters available and approved for use here in the early-mid 2010's from its PVI series. These were available in output capacities of 1.5, 2, 2.6, 3.3, 4.4 and 5 kilowatts. Beyond that, we have no further detail on these inverters, or what the warranty was.

Given how long it has been since the company disappeared, chances are none still installed in Australia would be covered by warranty. And repair of these old units probably isn't viable.

It's time to choose a new inverter - but don't go in blind. See our comprehensive guide to solar inverters that will tell you everything you need to know.
