Anthony

In-house Installer

Anthony

A licensed roofer, builder and electrician who has run his own solar business, Anthony joined SolarQuotes in 2022. He brings a rare blend of technical mastery and practical know-how. When not decoding complex technical queries, responding to customer emails that are too complex for Margherita or contributing to our blog, he's tending to his award-winning coloured sheep.

Over the decades, Anthony has earned a slew of qualifications and is a licensed roofer, builder, electrician and solar installer.

Whether it’s solar, batteries, residential projects, commercial jobs, or solar hot water systems, he’s been there and done that. He’s made his own tracking frames, designed and fabricated freestanding solar installations, and done installations all across SA – from Ceduna to Mt Gambier to Innamincka.

An ardent learner, he’s always attending industry conferences, training sessions, and more. Anthony’s earned a rep for tackling challenging projects, especially when it comes to correcting others’ mistakes.

He started his career in auto electrics before working in a precision machine shop, machining performance engines for racing cars, and then went into roofing for five years. His journey into solar began when he started helping his mate, Troy from Solar Depot, in 2008.

After a few years, the entrepreneurial bug bit him, and he started his venture Earnest Electric. By 2017, he rejoined Solar Depot until we had the good fortune to bring him on board in 2022.

Beyond all this, Anthony’s connection to the land is profound. He’s an accomplished farmer, raising internationally acclaimed coloured sheep and tending to cereal crops. And just when you thought you’d heard it all, here’s a fun tidbit: Anthony appeared in the TV miniseries “ANZAC Girls,” where he drove a genuine 1916 WW1 Albion truck.

From engines and electrics to solar panels and sheep, Anthony’s wealth of experience is extraordinary, making him a true asset to our team.
