Company Info

Headquartered in Guangzhou, China, parent company Felicity Solar (Guangdong Felicity New Energy Co Ltd) was established in 2007, and in 2011 produced its first solar panel. It's hard to pin an exact date on, but it appears the firm started manufacturing lithium-ion battery packs sometime between 2018 and  2020. The FelicityESS brand was launched in 2022.

Felicity Solar says it has over 1,500 employees, and invests more than 10% of its annual budget in research and development.

The company set up shop in Australia with an office and a warehouse in Sydney in 2025 to provide and support its storage solutions for households as well as small-to-medium commercial and industrial users.

FelicityESS Batteries

Felicity ESS batteries that have been CEC-approved for use in Australia are the LUX-X-48100LCG01-US, LUX-X-48100LG01-USMx series, and LUX-X-48100LMG01-US.

In terms of the LUX-X-48100LG01 series, this is a low-voltage modular solution using modules with a capacity of 4.98kWh. Up to 8 modules can be used in a single stack for a total of 39.84kWh nominal capacity, and up to 8 stacks can can be connected in parallel.

The LUX-X-48100G01 can be wall or floor-mounted. Each battery module weighs 46 kilograms and measures 600 x 450 x 180 mm. The control module is the same weight and dimensions.

The working temperature range is Charge: 0 ~ +55C and Discharge: -20C ~ +55C, and among the LUX-X-48100LG01's safety features are an internal aerosol fire extinguisher.

You'll need a hybrid inverter for this system. Along with FelicityESS's own products, the firm says the system is compatible with "leading inverter brands". On a related note, at the time of updating this page, the only FelicityESS hybrid inverter compatible with this battery system approved for use in Australia was the 3-phase T-REX 10kW device.

Warranty Details

FelicityESS says the LUX-X Series is accompanied by a 10-year warranty — of sorts.

  • In the first year, faulty battery cells will be directly replaced with new ones.
  • From the second to the seventh year, a faulty battery will be repaired first, and if that is unsuccessful, it will be replaced.
  • From the eighth to the tenth year, only "free inspections" are provided, excluding labour charges and parts fees.

So, the warranty from years 8 - 10 seems rather ...whiffy.
