Company Info
Ruixu Battery was established in 2017 and focuses on the manufacture and sales of lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries, and inverters. The company says it has a "state-of-the-art" 20,000 m² manufacturing facility.
Ruixi's Lithi2-16 home battery was approved by the Clean Energy Council in early July 2025, and according to the firm, it had 4 shipping containers of these batteries already booked by Australian dealers within the first two weeks.
What remains to be seen is if they are any good once they've been installed locally for a while.
About The Ruixu Lithi2-16 Battery
The Ruixu Lithi2-16 was first released in 2023. This battery requires the use of a hybrid inverter.
Among the Lithi2-16 feature set:
- 16 kWh capacity (12.8 kWh useable - see warranty details below).
- Expandable to 512 kWh
- Battery chemistry: LiFePO4 (Lithium iron phosphate)
- Rated DC power: 7 kW
- Maximum discharge power: 10 kW
- Maximum charge/discharge current: 200A (Recommended 140A)
- Integrated colour LCD touch screen
- Integrated aerosol fire extinguisher
- Lockable FUMA wheels (anti-tipping mount on the back anchors the battery to the wall.)
- Self-heating feature for cold climates: engages at 5°C, shuts off 12°C. Power draw: 480W
- Operating temperature range: -20°C - +55°C
- Dimensions (with wheels): 924 x 543 x 250 mm
- Weight: 145kg
- IP65 Rating (can be installed outdoors)
Ruixu claims the Lithi2-16 is compatible with a wide range of hybrid inverters, including some from SMA (SB/SBSE series), Growatt, Solis, Deye and GoodWe (all LV series) — and of course, its own. But there were no Ruixu hybrid inverters on the CEC's approved list at the time of writing.
Warranty Information
The Ruixu Lithi2-16 is accompanied by a 10-year battery warranty. The battery is rated for 9500 cycles at 80% Depth of Discharge (DoD) over 10 years, with a guaranteed State of Health (SOH) ≥ 60% during this period. At 80% DoD, the useable capacity is 12.8 kWh. However, the datasheet also indicates a design life of 15 years. That could be considered an express warranty in Australia and the company may find itself on the hook for 15 years.
Other than the warranty needing some work and being such a new product for Australia, we can't really form much of an opinion yet. If you've had a Ruixu battery installed, please leave a review to let us know how it's going.
