4 month post review Certified Energy Systems 48Kw Bat 20Kw Rooftop with Gateway controller.

I placed my order in in Aug 2026, due to delays (a lot of people wanting solar rebate and an inverter recall) System was installed In Nov 2 days away from Dec 2026. Communication was great all the way through. CES use contractors for some of their installs and all the people involved were on task. It was a 3 day install, with follow up training on system usage and App.
The system
x42 Solar panel LONGi Solar Hi-MO X6 Max Scientist LR7-54HTH-475M (475W)
total 19.95Kw of sun power.
x1 Inverter Sigenergy Sigen Hybrid Inverter Sigen Hybrid 10Kw
x6 Battery storage Sigenergy SigenStor BAT 8.0 (8.06kWh / 7.8kWh usable)
x1 SIGENERGY SINGLE PHASE GATEWAY
Including removal and disposal of old shed panels, board upgrade, and fittings for roof.
53k in value minus govt rebate 38k

In a nut shell very happy and would def recommend CES Gympie.
Nit picks- planned solar on roof ended up facing other way, due to roof layout so I don't get full use of late sun in afternoon but with 20Kw is of small consequence. This system proved itself 3 days later when power went out during cyclonic storm. Home was generating 1.5Kw in hail and rain -when power was restored we were exporting 1kw to the grid during these conditions and using 500w to run home AMAZING.
I have not voluntarily used any electricity since the install however there is leakage or testing usage which reflects as 2-8kw a month, I know this sounds like nothing but its still a sour taste in your mouth paying a cent after such an investment.

The app is well designed and intuitive . However it isn't without its faults sometimes not displaying data correctly or at all. I dislike having to be connected to the internet to use it and it defeats the purpose of an independent system. Hopefully Sigenergy will improve upon this in time or another company will offer a better solution.

The take away.
based on usage of 2400Kw p/a
over 20 years = 48k
cost of system full installed 38k
looks like a 10k saving , but remaining on grid, daily connection fees at up to approx 900 p/a
over 20 years = 18k
leaving a 20 year saving of actually 30k 8k below overhead cost. (thanks you Aus govt and your energy company masters!)
It is a rigged system, you cannot win. The best case scenario is being slightly more well off and going off grid
complete with a 100Kw or 150Kw system for redundancy.
That said, no regrets. The average large family house hold could prob get away with 32Kw system but even if you are
not importing from the grid but grid connected the fees and admin cost will increase over time to match the
losses the company miss from exporting. If the govt doesn't regulate you will never win.
Energy is energy it is that simple and the govt allowing my or your energy to be worth less than coal or other is the hurdle to be demolished.
