Company Info
Enatel initially focused on the design and manufacture of a range of energy solutions used in telecommunications, networking, wireless and industrial sectors. The company also expanded into the production of grid-tied solar inverters for residential applications.
EnaSolar was formed in 2008, introducing its range of GT string inverters. Another model, the microMAX Power Inverter, followed.
Enatel was acquired by US company IDEAL Industries Inc. in 2018. While Enatel is still operating, it no longer produces solar inverters and the EnaSolar brand disappeared sometime in 2020. Clean Energy Council listings for Enasolar inverters expired on various dates in 2012.
EnaSolar Inverters In Australia
The EnaSolar GT series of single-phase string inverters was available in capacities of 1.5 kW to 5 kW. The 1.5 kW to 3.8 kW models had a single MPPT, while the 4 kW to 5 kW models offered two.
Like most inverters, the GT were convection cooled, but had a large front-mounted heat sink. Among their other features were seven cable access points and LED indicators, plus a four-layered LCD display screen. The GT series offered built-in Wi-Fi as standard for PV system monitoring and reporting, and an optional ethernet support was available.
EnaSolar GT inverters had a maximum efficiency of 96.0% - 96.8%, measured 330mm x 550mm x 145mm to 401mm x 600mm x 168mm and weighed 14 kg, 15 kg and 20 kg; depending on the model. IP55 rated for outdoor/wet locations, the GT series boasted an operating temperature range of -30ºC to +50ºC of full power before derating.

A 5 year warranty was included as standard with EnaSolar inverters, which was upgradeable to 10 years for an extra cost. If yours is playing up and still under warranty, try contacting the company that supplied and installed it. Failing that, contact Enatel using the details provided above.
