Guangdong East Power Inverters In Australia
At one point, Guangdong East Power had three inverters approved for use in Australia by the Clean Energy Council:
- EA3KLPV (3 kW)
- EA4KLPV (4 kW)
- EA5KLPV (5 kW)
These were naturally cooled single MPPT inverters with a maximum conversion efficiency of 97.5%.
The EA inverter series in this capacity range were IP65 rated (so suitable for outdoor installation), had an operating temperature range of -20°C ~ +50°C, dimensions of 430mm ×568mm ×200mm (W×H×D) and they weighed approximately 25 kilograms.
Warranty Info
The official warranty for these inverters was 5 years, but we noticed in the manual a claimed working life of 20 years. This may be considered a warranty of sorts.
The Clean Energy Council listing for Guangdong East Power EA inverters expired in 2017 and didn't appeared to be renewed. Chances are given the official warranty duration, units installed in Australia are no longer covered. Rather than mess about with repairs that might not be possible, consider buying a new inverter that is well-supported in Australia.
