Michael's Haier Inverters Review & Verdict

Michael Bloch covers the latest developments in home electrification for SolarQuotes.

Home appliance and consumer electronics behemoth Haier has been manufacturing solar inverters, batteries and panels since 2024. If the name isn't familiar, here's one that probably is — Fisher & Paykel — which the company owns. It's far too soon to assess how good their hybrid inverters are, but we'll keep an eye on feedback from Australian customers and installers.

Haier Inverters: Pros & Cons

  • Company has been operating for a long time.
  • Yet to prove itself in Australia for solar products.

Company Information

Haier can trace its roots back to the 1920's, when its predecessor was manufacturing refrigerators. Over the years it has grown massively, scooping up other appliance manufacturers on its way; including Fisher & Paykel.

The firm expanded into solar inverter, battery and panel manufacturing in 2024, with its products introduced in Australia in 2025. The inverters are associated with the Fisher & Paykel name, but manufactured by Qingdao Nahui Energy Technology Co Ltd, which is also owned by Haier.

Haier Three-Phase Hybrid Inverter

Several Haier hybrid inverters have been approved by Australia's Clean Energy Council. As of late 2025, these were still only available as a three-phase units (HH3P) and are compatible with Haier home batteries, specifically the HV HHS-1X5/10/15/20K.

HH3P-5/6/8/10KA1-HU Features

  • Protection rating: IP66
  • MPPT number: 3
  • Max. discharge current: 25A
  • Max. input current: 16A
  • Nominal voltage: 600V
  • Rated output power: 5/6/8/10 kW
  • Dimensions: 210mm x 500mm x 600mm

Warranty Details

The H3P hybrid inverter is covered by a 5-year warranty. If an inverter fails while it is under warranty, it will be either repaired or exchanged with a refurbished inverter that includes all firmware updates.

If you've installed a Haier inverter at your place, consider leaving a review and rating.
