NINGBO HAQ NEW ENERGY CO LTD Inverters: Pros & Cons
- Company no longer exists
About NINGBO HAQ NEW ENERGY CO LTD
Ningbo HAQ, or just HAQ solar, focused on the production of microinverters - but the firm only existed for a few years.
Company Info
HAQ Solar was established around 2009. It established several arms:
- HAQ USA: focused on product research and design.
- HAQ BEILUN: for product development, engineering and production.
- HAQ NINGBO for sales & marketing, technical support and after-sale service.
But the company didn't last, disappearing sometime in 2014.
HAQ Microinverters In Australia
The only HAQ microinverter approved for use in Australia by the Clean Energy Council was the NYC-250.
With a maximum power output of 250 Watts, the NYC-250 was designed for use with 180W - 275W solar panels. It offered a peak conversion efficiency of 95.8%, measured 200 x 175 x 35mm and weighed 2 kilograms.
The HAQ NYC-250 had an operating temperature range of -40°C~+ 65°C.
Warranty Details
The NYC-250 was accompanied by a 15-year warranty, but a datasheet we've seen mentioned a working life of 25 years. That may also be considered a warranty.
Either way, it will be difficult to pursue a warranty claim given the HAQ Solar no longer exists. But if the company that supplied and installed your microinverters is still around, they also have warranty responsibility.
