Michael's OPTI Inverters Review & Verdict
Michael Bloch covers the latest developments in home electrification for SolarQuotes.
In the mid-2010's in Australia, there were more inverter brands available in Australia than you could poke a stick at. Opti-Solar was among them.

Opti-Solar Inverters In Australia
As at February 2025, none of the company's inverters are on the Clean Energy Council's approved products list. This is necessary for state/federal rebates and grid connection permission. But obviously the company still has an interest in our market as we noticed the firm would be attending a major solar and storage exhibition in Australia in March 2025. Perhaps we'll see some of their products back on the list soon.
In the mid-2010's several Opti-Solar inverters were on the CEC list. These were from the GT series and in 1.5kW, 2kW, 3kW and 4kW capacities. There was nothing particularly earth-shattering about these products.
Warranty Information
When the GT series was available here, the product warranty was 6 years; so chances are any of these inverters still installed in Australia are no longer covered by warranty. But it's worth contacting the party that installed the inverter, or failing that, Opti-Solar themselves to determine this. Oddly enough, the warranty these days is only 2 years. The trend for inverter manufacturers has been to increase warranty duration; not decrease it - and 2 years is just way too short.
If you're looking to replace an Opti-Solar inverter, we list some CEC (and SolarQuotes) approved products available in Australia on our solar inverter comparison table.
