Poor service - good system

What a schamozzle!!! It took about four months plus to get my panels installed. Granted the system works & it’s been about 6mths but during installation they damaged my outdoor deck, chairs & wall without acknowledgement. They did not tell me about this. When I raised it with them, it took another couple of months negotiating to get it fixed & come to an agreement. The fact that I found the damage & had to bring it to their attention & negotiate the costs for months shows their lack of professionalism. I just hope my system lasts now.

Not too sure about this one. All talk.

It all started well enough. Good prices for top end stuff. Installation of the meter was spot on but that was done by actewagl. Then came the surprise. The promised number of pannel started to be minus a couple because of mis configuration of design. This is costing me dearly. Forget about this, lets go to service. This is an all talk no action group. Had some trouble so i called them up. No answers for weeks And when i finally got a reply they wouldn’t send any one over to have a look. So mad. Not sure what to do at this point. Maybe its the inverter. Maybe its the pannels or lack off. Maybe its the electriical work. I guess being objective is hard when im not getting a system thats even 60% of what its supposed to be. Even the sales man said, “ thats not right”. has he sent someone out!!! Nope. If i had to do it again. No way!!! Get this. I did t even get an official copy of the actpla certificate. Got some Dodgy screen shot of a blured one Hows thats for dodgy! If youre the sales man you know who i am. Please get in contact and resolve...

Original Review on 30-10-2018:

It's a new company that has started up this year. They offer senior cardholders a discount on the job that you are quoted for. I used the guide provided by this site in relation to questions to ask the installer & this company was quite prepared to answer the questions & if the sales rep was unsure he rang the manager to make sure that he had the facts right. Every thing that the quoted to be supplied was installed as quoted. Most companies in Canberra were quoting a 6 to 8 week wait before they could install. With Aussie Solar Hut the whole process took just over a month from installation to the local authority connecting the smart meter (it took the local authority nearly the month to connect the smart meter, the solar panels were installed in 2 days) Original ratings

8 months later we asked Herman: "Are you happy with the performance of your system so far?"

In the first 3 months (summer season) of the electricity bill I noticed that we were getting around $40 rebate per month (at 11c/kwh). The last bill which was for the autumn period we got a rebate of around $30 per month. We use most of the energy collected during the day as we are home most of the day so when we do have to feed off the grid we are doing so at off peak time rates. This has reduced the costing of the electricity we use by up to 7 cents per kwh which has also helped in reducing the overall bill. Installing it has been worth while & I hope to see even further reductions in the electricity bill.
