My inverted died after jyst 2 years after installation. Took them over 4 months to replace inverter. But i had to try to contact someone first, 30 or more phone calls with no response except voice mail in which no one calls back. In the end a faxed letter stating that I will go to the ombudsman got their attention & within 30 minutes of the fax being sent, someone rang me. They also tried to get installation money out of me for the new inverter. I said it's under warranty so I don't have to pay a cent & I didn't.

System wasn't installed to Australian Standards and had to be rectified. Upon initial installation 1 of the 2 Inverters was set to wrong country code and didn't operate at all for first 6 weeks. The SEG application was submitted with wrong Inverter information which saw our eligibility for the Government FIT rejected - since the cut off date had passed all eligibility has now been lost. Has now been some 6 months since installation and I still don't have an approved System attached to the Grid through SA Power Networks. Overall pretty woeful and extremely disappointing. It shouldn't be this difficult.

My invertor stopped working after less than 4 yrs which i finally figured out because of an enormous Origin bill (not that Origin went out of their way to let me know, they waited 2 full billing cycles at which point they back-billed me for the power used!!). I let Ecoplus know because they installed the system. They were able to tell me over the phone how to test the system, confirmed that the invertor was done, contacted the manufacturer Fronius, lodged a warranty calim on my behalf and between Ecoplus and Fronius got a new inverter sent from Victoria and installed within 4 days. At no cost to me! You can't ask for better service than that. Many thanks to Stewart and the team from Ecoplus and the folk at Fronius.

After an initial quote with Ecoplus I hesitated for months, but then decided to get another quote, which I happily accepted. I was in no hurry for the installation so had no problem with delays (due to Xmas & NY, heat waves and a 2-day rain deluge). I wanted the panels installed on a garage roof (due to asbestos roof on home) and although this proved a little more complicated the final result was perfect and is at present making 7-8 kw/day. I compliment the staff at Ecoplus, I found each person a joy to deal with, got great service and all my questions (quite a few) answered to my satisfaction, plus the installation fellows were meticulous workers and a delight to know. I would definitely recommend Ecoplus to others.

They never returned my phone calls, unless they want to give payment details, warranty on inverter took over 3 months to be actioned, i had to get consumer affairs involved and then they took another month. worst solar company ever, my advice: don't touch them.

Ecoplus would have to be the worst company I have ever dealt with. Every time I rang(and trust me I rang them on a weekly basis) they were in a meeting or out to lunch with the promise of them ringing me back. After getting through to the manager of the company the service was still very poor. It took over 6 months to be installed, and I would not recommend them to anybody.

When purchasing this system and producing our last 3 electricity accounts we were advised a 3 kw system would cover our electricty accounts. We were only intending to purchase a 1.5kw system but upon the salesmans information we decided to go for the 3kw system. We were told because of the German tecnology this system would out perform other brands. Sadly the system is covering half of what we were told.



The system took 7 months to be installed from time of purchase. Made many phone calls with no response. Had to keep chasing them all of the time. When installation was finally done is was good as it was contracted by another company.



Have phoned numerous times since installation to resolve issues but unfortunately no resolution other than court proceedings.
This whole process has been very stressfull but should not be.

The initial quote was far in excess of what we had a budget for, however, in negotiations (after indicating that we had quotes far below what they were proposing ... for a system with the same specs) they reduced their quote quite considerably. We had one alteration to the specs we were looking for ... that was; we were wanting a Sunnyboy 3000TL inverter. We were advised that the Sunnyboy 3000HF was an upgrade. Still not sure about that. The HL does not look as "solid" as the TL!!!!

Never had a problem, sales person was good and explained all, the installers were excellent, covered gutters under ladder and plank on roof to walk on. I am retired builder so I know good workers when I see them.

I made it clear to the salesperson I want a German inverter with german solar panels that were monocrystaline.
!8 months later the inverter has stopped working and needs to be replaced. It is not German at all but a Chinese made, so I feel they have either breached the contract or the salesman has lied to me. To add insult to injury they kept me waiting for a week for an electrician to call when it was meant to be 48 hours. I am not happy and have not received appropriate customer service instead I have been told I am receiiving a curtacy and can wait while they take their time. I am a pensioner who is still paying for the panels and inverter, but no I am also paying for the electricity I use on top of it. I am not a happy camper to say the least. I will be contacting the manager in a weeks time and then I will take it further. Having worked for a large company in the service industry I am appalled at the lack of service.

The company had a sales person that came to the home and explained what they had to offer, and spent some time with us. It is also an Adelaide based company.

Most of the others just gave quotes over the phone or emailed them through.

Do homework on prices before signing a contract or you will end up paying more than is needed; ie I agreed to a supply install contract of $9000 where as i could have picked it up for less than $7000 but whether quality is the same who knows! And trying too get a contract price has proved almost impossible!

Given the short timeframe of about 4 weeks notice given by the Victorian Government to have solar panels installed and paperwork submitted and accepted by the provider by 30 September, Ecoplus did everything within their power to install, connect and have the system inspected ensuring that we still had time to submit all the necessary paperwork to our provider.

Suntrix appeared superior and the sales person was really good at explaining the operation. The price was excellent and by the data sheets performance appeared superior. However, I was concerned I was unable to find anything much about the panels on the web. It is extremely difficult to compare products as each company appears to have their own brand of panel they push and package it with an inverter, so despite any research you may do, you effectively end up with something different.
I chose Ecoplus as the salesperson was good, they met the price of another quote for the same product with German technology and after agonizing over it all, I decided despite almost all panels being now manufactured in China I would go for the German technology.

Too much info, too many companies.
Installation was never going to be quick but took 3 months. Some companies promised the earth and wanted cash you need to know what you want.. 1.5 system will not do much for you.

I ordered my system on the 8-12-10 and paid a 10% deposit as it now 27-4-11 I have made several phone calls to the company and have been given promises of return calls to discuss when they would be installing, these calls never have happened. I do live outside the metro area but that didn't stop them when there rep called to sell a system and it was a verbal promise of instalation in 12weeks.
Therefore, I would not recommend this company to anyone. Don't be like me and fall the three card trick.

They made no follow up phone calls as they said they would.
Rang 5 times to get a fitment date and was always advised the person I needed to speak to was not there finally got an installation date installers of solar panels not helpful and put panels in wrong place electrician very helpful unsure where I stand if I want three panels where the salesman suggested I would not recomend this company on its customer service been installed now for 2 weeks and have not had any contact to see if I am happy.

Please let me Apologise for I was just using you to try to find out how much I had been taken for because I had a feeling I had been taken for a ride. I do not mind what you do with this bit of knowledge, it would suit me fine if you did something on it. If you could let me know of your findings on the matter I would be Obliged. I can not fill this in to my real feelings on the matter simply because I think I have been Robbed, tell me if you can???It is the firsd time in my life I have made such a mistake. With Money. I have made mistakes in life but none as big as this.
I was taken because I mistook what the Salesman said. I rang the Ofice 3/4 days later after paying a deposit of $2,400 & was told if I cancelled off I would lose it all. So I went on at a price of$13,240. Much more in your line of Expertise it is a 1.5kw Conergy System, Ago Sharp Inverter on a Tin Roof, With a Part No of620con 15a. If you can honestly tell me I have not been robbed I would be very Happy. If not I am at your liberty to do what you will.

The sales rep was good, but since then it has all been downhill. We were promised installation early February. Kept phoning and the person would always get back, but didn't until I threatened the Ombudsman. Due now February 15th.
