5.5Kwh Fronius Inverter and 20 Sumec Phono Solar 330W panels.
The system was installed on March 20th 2020, connected to the grid and has been operating since then. However I have not yet succeeded with commissioning the data monitor of the Fronius inverter and linking it to my mobile and laptop. The installer promised to sent somebody to assist but the Coronavirus situation makes this a low priority. If Fronius expects Customers to do this by themselves, particular with people in my age group, 88+, they should provide clear written instructions of the steps required and not rely on YouTube presentations which are too quick and impossible to understand by people with hearing loss. The system has been operating flawlessly since installation. One mistake i made in the design selection was not making allowance for the sun's path during the winter months which is further to the north than I assumed and this shadows some panels in the early hours of sunrise, not a mayor issue, could lop the tree.but it is too nice. During the summer months it generates enough electricity for our ducted air-conditioned home to more or less offset the fixed cost of being connected to the grid with an input tariff of 0.95c/KWh. In the colder months we need to draw additional power from the grid to maintain a comfortable interior temperature during day and night.
