I went local and got a great quality installation!
After talking to 4-5 bigger company solar and battery installers I was getting very varied recommendations and approaches so it was difficult to work out which was the best way to go so I approach a couple of locally recommended installers and went with Next Door Electrical.Jack was extremely personable, knowledgeable, and came up with a proposal that no other had that enabled the refit and re-use of existing 3 year old panels, double the size of my solar and match in with a GoodWe ESA battery and inverter.
The experience and quality of the installation was really first class, the whole team had total respect for my property, were friendly and professional and each was a real credit to the company. This was proven with the quality of the clean up, it was like they'd never been there, not a single cable cutting anywhere!
Yes, they may've been slightly more expensive that a couple of the quoting companies but none of them inspired confidence and some didn't even feel the need to visit my porperty to assess the job before quoting!
