Solar system

My first contact with Solar Blessing was to try and check my system. They came out within a few days and tested it and showed me why the system had failed. I then asked for quotes to replace. I found them extremely helpful in this process.
I decided to get the fronious inverter next gen with a 10 kilowatt system installed.
Solar blessing took care of all the documents for Ergon and it was approved within a few days.
They gave me a time to remove my old system and after that they installed the new the next day.
On installation they were very helpful in explaining all the installation and why they had to do things to satisfy the solar panel company all serial numbers had to be registered to qualify.
In all these guys were extremely professional and ultra friendly.
I highly recommend them a great team.

Original Review on 17-04-2017:

Really, the companies that quoted were all in the same ballpark money wise and with similar, if not the same, equipment.
In the end we went with Solar Blessing as they used a Fronius inverter which I feel more comfortable with, and they also started an Ergon approval check immediately with no requirement to proceed with them after a response. Ergon took 3 weeks to respond and were apologetic! I'd been warned by two quoters that Ergon was knocking back 5KW systems but we were approved. Phew!
After approval and go ahead, the system was installed within the week and is purring like a kitten. It took a half day to install and the sparky's work was exceptionally tidy. It's performing well, pretty close to the published hourly Solar System Output (22 degree north facing roof pitch) in January stats, even though it's April and we have an East/West configuration giving better tail end output.

8 months later we asked Neil: "Are you happy with the performance of your system so far?"

We are very happy with the purchase.
The system is facing East-West in two rows of 9x 275W panels on each side of the low pitch roof line to make up the 5KW system.
At this time of year (mid-summer) the inverter is putting out 32KW hours per day, and puts out around 13KW hours per day mid-winter.
Because the panels are facing East-West we get a nice spread of useful power-out through the day.

Since installing the solar power - our electricity bill (for two/sometimes three people) has dropped from $600 to under $200 per winter period and would be zero over summer if we weren't running the air-con most of the day (10am to 4pm). Currently the total summer electricity bill is 95c per day with the air-con running, 24hr normal household usage, and the hot water system on cheapest tariff.

Mind you, we have changed our usage pattern - now running the dishwasher in the morning rather than at night. Run the clothes washer and dryer through the middle of the day. Use the kettle and toaster one after the other if we get up early when the power output is lower. etc. Small usage changes make a huge difference in the bill.

I'd have a larger solar system now knowing what I know, rather than the 5KW, just to eliminate that winter bill, or if I we had a larger family. Whether such a move would be economical in terms of payback time I don't know.
