Original Review on 20-04-2012:

I went through a local electrician in Wallaroo who uses Solarspec as a designer and equipment supplier.

He purchases all the hardware through an intermediate company in Kadina.

As a consequence the only contact I had, was with the electrician who arranged everything. If ETSA had been quicker off the mark I would have had the system installed and operative by the middle of February.

The system was installed on 18/4/12 and the import / export meter went in the following day.

16 X 190 w Suntech panels STP 190S - 24AD+
3Kw Sunnyboy inverter SB3000TL - 20

$6,600

I would advise anyone who lives in the country do their homework and look around their immediate area for a registered electrician who is also an accredited PV panel installer.

Steer clear, if possible, of city based suppliers as you have no idea who the installer will be and where to find them if something is amiss.

25 months later we asked George: "Are you happy with the performance of your system so far?"

Financial year 2011/12 $1343 - 2012/13 Credit $174 - 2013/14 Credit $197

Generated power
Maximum kWh 1336 January 2013
Minimum kWh 588 July 2012
Average kWh 996

Prior to installation our average quarterly account was $283.The last bill we paid was $125 in October 2012. Since then we have been in credit.
I make a point of reading the meter in the middle of each quarter to ensure that the panels are operating as expected and comparing the generated output with a similar period in the past.

Based on the performance so far we are quite happy with the installed system.
