Sapphire Solar is a family-owned Australian company headquartered in Victoria that offers a range of batteries, inverters and solar panels. Some years ago, it offered components with Saphire Solar badging, but these days it only carries other brands.

Sapphire GEM 5000 Inverter
Sapphire's GEM 5000 was a single-phase hybrid inverter with 5kW capacity offering 96.5% efficiency. Among its features was an LED screen, blackout operation, flexible export restriction mode and full demand response mode. Measuring 495 x 420 x 165 mm, the GEM 5000 weighed 24 kg and had an ingress rating of IP65, suitable for outdoor installation. It had an operating temperature range of -25 ~ +60°C, with derating above 45°C.
As well as the GEM 5000, there was also the 3600 (3.6kW) and the 4000 (4kW). These inverters were originally approved for use by the Clean Energy Council in 2016, with the listing expiring in 2021. As far as we know, they weren't relisted after that. These inverters were all designed to work with the Sapphire Solar battery, which is also no longer available.
Warranty Details
GEM inverters were accompanied by a 5 year warranty, with a optional 7 year or 10 year warranty upgrade available. That means some inverters could still be covered in 2025. If you have a warranty claim, your first move should be to contact the company that installed it. Failing that, try contacting Sapphire Solar directly.
