Company Info

The company’s first photovoltaic cell production line started operating in April 2006 and the firm supplied mono and polycrystalline solar panels with output capacities ranging from 140 W to 330 W. Solartech Energy grew to an annual production capacity capability of 1 GW.

In 2018, Solartech Energy, Gintech Energy and Neo Solar Power (NSP) merged to form United Renewable Energy Co., Ltd. (UREC), which is also known as URECO or URE.

Solartech Energy Solar Panels In Australia

Dozens of Solartech Energy modules were available in Australia at one point, but it appears they were confined to polycrystalline panels from the ASC series. These panels had conversion efficiencies of up to 15.94% and a temperature coefficient of PMax of -0.47%/C.

In the 285W to 310W range, the panels measured 1960mm x 992mm x 40mm and weighed 23 kilograms.

Warranty Details

According to a datasheet dated 2013, Solartech Energy polycrystalline panels were accompanied by a 10-year product warranty and 25-year limited power output warranty. If you have these panels, claiming on warranty could be tricky given the firm no longer exists, but there may be some recourse through UREC. And if the company that supplied/installed the panels is still around, you may be in luck as they also carry warranty responsibility.
