Two quotes compared. Both for 5Kw system. Q-cell 265 watt panels versus LG 315 watt panels. Decided to go with LG panel quote as product information and physical inspection of these panels appear both technically superior and weather proofing ( in Cairns, particularly relevant) has extra coatings. Manufacturer's warranty claims appear appropriate. Have no problems with other LG products owned. Next test will be installation process. Original ratings

9 months later we asked Rodney: "Are you happy with the performance of your system so far?"

80% happy with ongoing daily average output. If I had battery backup, I would still run out of juice in current climatic conditions. Looks like I am hooked to the grid for quite a while yet

Only two full billing periods but am happy so far. Not much in cash rebate for power returned to network due to poor pricing but the main saving is in power used daily that I do not have to pay for.

I paid slightly over the odds to get quality panels and inverter. Problems arose after about 3 weeks when auto alarm via inverter to email ceased to function. Later, system went off line from sundown to sunset for 22 days straight. In both instances Greg( NSE proprietor) stated he would look into it with ABB. I would still be waiting, given he did not get back to me and it was not fixed, I contacted ABB customer service in both instances and fix was arranged. If you buy from NSE, possibly do not expect after sales service based on this experience with me.
