I received 3 Solar Quotes from Finn Peacock but did not choose any as it took about 3 weeks for 1 out of 3 to email me a quote to which by then I had done my own research and choose Sun Solar QLD in Acacia Ridge, very happy with their service. I had salesman come out the 14th of April, he was very informative and helpful,(with the information I got from Finn Peacock I knew the salesman knew his products) signed contract 21st April, Sun Solar wanted to Install on the 3rd May which was not suitable for me, was installed on 11th May, I'm very happy with Installation. Only took 3 hours and Energex are coming 13th June to do their part.
I must say that Finn Peacock's web site was VERY INFORMATIVE it was what helped me in many areas to make my decision and my research.
Thank You Finn Peacock!

Installation seemed to be alright until the head installer left for half the day leaving the two workers to do most of the install. Panels were not connected properly. Installer was contacted and had to come back to correct, 5 days later. Paid extra for GERMAN SMA inverta. Panel display is in German so do not understand. I told the installer but no reply. Have intermittent fault reading on inverta. Again, told installer, no response.
System seems to be working and feeding back to grid. Have niggling feeling that the panels are not connected properly causing fault to register on panel. Efficiency may be Compromised.

The one thing I learnt from this experience was that if the salesman wants to sell you a 1.5Kw "system" then you would expect to have an array of panels that adds up to 1.5Kw ( 8 X 190W= 1.52Kw)
BUT you should also check that the AC output of the inverter is at least 1.5Kw as well.

This AC output is usually a give away with the model of the inverter xxxxx15000 = 1.5Kw
or xxxxx2000 = 2Kw. This Maximum output rating can also be found in the clean energy council website, this is what energex will reference when they do up your contract for you to sell back to grid;

http://www.solaraccreditation.com.au/acccec/approvedproducts/inverters/currentinverters.html.

What I am basically trying to say is that I went with these guys because they were a very good price compared to others but later found out that they were cheaper because they were cutting corners when it come to the actual numbers. I wanted to buy a 1.5Kw system but what I got was 8 x 185W panels = 1.48Kw (not 1.5Kw) and an inverter that had a maximum AC OUTPUT rating of 1.2Kw ( not 1.5Kw) so their parts were cheaper to buy and they were able to on sell it cheaper - under cutting everyone else.
In summary, I don't have any problem with the "system" that I got (it works well) BUT the question must be asked - did I actually get a 1.5 Kw "system" ?????? some how I don't think so.........

The service was excellent and issues are immediately dealt with. Representative was accommodating and answered all queries. Installation took less than 2 weeks from signing the contract and inverter installation within 2 weeks after the panels were installed. Appointments were kept as scheduled.
