8 months later we asked Brian: "Are you happy with the performance of your system so far?"

More or less. The system is rated at 5.2kW. we have seen some strong days but the best output so far is high 4kW'sUnderstand this is fairly normal.

Original Review on 03-03-2017:

Remind me in three months and I will answer you honestly.

Unfortunately only two 'local' installers were recommended by you, but I spent time 'trawling' the Internet and local advertisements for more.

From one of them I have accepted a quotation. It won't be for a week or so (weather permitting) before the array will be installed and operational.

I am sure you understand my situation, even though you are keen to get feed-back from your efforts.

Regards,

John

8 months later we asked John and Christine: "Are you happy with the performance of your system so far?"

Pretty much. Given that we are surrounded by trees I was a little dubious about spending so much money. Nevertheless, research and commonsense convinced me it was the 'right thing to do'.

The installation took place only in late March of 2017 but even over the autumn and winter our electricity bill has reduced somewhere between a third and a half. Summer is coming (I am writing this in early 2017-11), meaning more sunlight with the higher ecliptic, which could well mean less shadowing and more savings; well, one can hope.
