About Solargain Power Technology
This one can be a little confusing - Solargain Power Technology was a company based in ShenZhen, Guangdong, China that manufactured solar inverters. If you've arrived on this page, you're probably actually looking for the Australian solar installation company Solargain, which was in no way related to the Chinese company that ceased operations years ago..
You can view Solargain reviews here.
Solargain Power Technology began manufacturing inverters in 2009. By 2013, the company's web site was no longer active and it appears the firm also disappeared.
But the curious thing was among inverters available in Australia that were approved for use by the Clean Energy Council:
- SGP1700TL (1.6 kW)
- SGP2200TL (2.1 kW)
- SGP2800TL (3 kW)
... the CEC listings didn't expire until 2017, which is quite a long time after the company went bust. However, supply would have stopped years prior.
The firm's inverters were accompanied by a 5-year standard warranty that could be extended to 10 years. But given when the company ceased operations and supply, it is highly unlikely any units installed in Australia that are still operating (also unlikely) are covered. And even if they were, pursuing a warranty claim would be unsuccessful unless the local firm that installed/supplied the device is still around.
