REC reaches 5 million solar panel mark

14th May 2012

One major solar panel manufacturer is celebrating a pretty significant milestone after its five millionth system rolled off the production line.

The Renewable Energy Corporation (REC) has been active in Italy since 2009 and has done everything within its power to support local industry.

Not only does it produce solar power systems for the domestic market, but also offers a certified installer program to ensure people are doing their job properly.

The REC Solar Professional Program already has more than 100 recognised members across the world, giving you as customers peace of mind that your system will continue to function for years to come.

Ivano Zanni, managing director of REC Solar Italy, explained that the training initiative provides the country's market with both reliability and support.

He emphasised REC's "commitment to developing the Italian market, not only through the performance, competitiveness and reliability of our products, but also through continuous training for installers and targeted information for customers, so that they can make informed and efficient choices".

So what does this mean for us here in Australia? Solar panel companies are always trying to up their game in terms of the quality of the product they offer and any added value they can provide.

new certification program for solar installers has already been rolled out by REC across six countries, including Australia – which spells good news for consumers.

Through the program, high-level training is on offer alongside a wide range of benefits for installers – both of which translate into an improved service for homeowners and businesses.

Installers will be able to purchase solar panels with a 12-year warranty – a whole two years more than is currently available – as well as access a range of great training tools.

Not only will you have access to better quality products, but also more qualified individuals to install them – success all round as far as we're concerned!
