Company Info
Parent company Anker was established in 2011, focusing on mobile phone charging and related products. The company expanded into home energy storage through Anker Solix in 2023, and its first products were available locally in 2024. The firm then added EV charging solutions to its portfolio in 2025.
Anker Solix's headquarters are in China, but there's also a local office in Melbourne for support and warranty enquiries.
Anker Solix V1 Smart EV Charger
Launched in Australia in October 2025, the Anker Solix V1 is an AC charger available in 7.4kW single-phase and 22kW three-phase models.
The V1 offers seamless switching between solar and the grid, or both can be used to maximise efficiency and savings. Custom charging plans can be configured based on your circumstances. The charger also includes a feature called IntelliGesture, that it says allows starting, stopping, or switching to full-power charging — all with a single swipe.
Note that load balancing and solar charging is only available with a compatible meter, such as the Anker Solix Smart Meter (which costs a couple of hundred dollars) or Shelly Smart Meter Pro 3EM. Without it, this charger really isn't all that smart.
The V1 has an operating temperature range of -30C to +50C, and is IP65 rated for indoor or outdoor use. In terms of safety features, built in temperature sensors constantly monitor the V1 and there's Type A and DC 6mA detection for protecting against AC and DC leakage.
The V1 Smart EV Charger is available in socket or a tethered version, the latter offering an integrated 7-metre charging cable. Dimensions of both units are 211 x 360 x 120 mm, and they weigh 4.95 kilograms.
Monitoring is via an app that also provide reports on energy usage, costs, savings, and carbon reduction. Connectivity is provided via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth
Warranty
The V1 has a 3-year warranty; but there didn't appear to be an Australian warranty document on the Anker Solix website at the time of updating this page. Be sure to sight and read that carefully first before committing to a purchase.
Something worth noting is Anker Solix makes the claim of "power confidently for 8 years" in relation to their charger, which could be considered an express warranty.
