Connect Energy, an absolutely brilliant job!
Absolutely outstanding from start to finish!I couldn’t be happier with Connect Energy and the installation of my Sigenergy system. From the initial discussions through to the installation, commissioning and getting everything up and running, the whole experience has been exceptional.
Brett and the team were fantastic to deal with. They clearly know their stuff when it comes to Sigenergy and took the time to understand what I actually wanted to achieve with my system, rather than simply trying to sell me the biggest or most expensive setup. You can see why they have such a strong reputation as a Sigenergy Gold installer.
My system consists of a 10kW Sigenergy inverter, 27kWh of battery storage and 15kW of LONGi Ultra Black panels, and the finished installation is absolutely fantastic.
The installation itself was first class. The workmanship, attention to detail and cleanliness were outstanding, and everything was installed neatly and professionally. It’s obvious that the team takes genuine pride in their work, and the finished result looks fantastic.
What really impressed me was the team’s knowledge of the Sigenergy ecosystem. They were able to answer all of my questions, explain how everything worked and make sure I understood the inverter, batteries, backup functionality and monitoring. I never felt rushed or like I was asking too many questions.
The system is a substantial investment, so choosing the right installer was extremely important to me. After dealing with and comparing a number of solar companies during my research, Connect Energy genuinely stood out.
There was no pressure, no nonsense and no cutting corners — just honest advice, excellent communication, quality equipment and exceptional workmanship. That made the whole process so much easier and gave me a lot of confidence that I had chosen the right company.
The finished system looks amazing and is performing brilliantly. I’m extremely happy with the result and with the decision to go with Connect Energy.
I would have absolutely no hesitation recommending Brett and the Connect Energy team to anyone considering solar, batteries or a Sigenergy system. If you’re looking for an installer who knows Sigenergy inside and out and takes pride in doing the job properly, I highly recommend giving them a call.

Good company to deal with, helpful and efficient
The quoting of the system was informative they explained everything. The installation Team were very polite and efficient to repositioning the actual fit of panels on my roof so as they can't be seen from the road. Totally cleaned up the site after.There was a slight issue after install at night were some of my electricity to house had not come on?, after a phone the fellow came straight back out that night.
Then when all done re internet they came back out twice to make sure all was up and running.
8 months later we asked Sabrina: "Are you happy with the performance of your system so far?"
Yes it has been working well, and at the moment I am getting a good buy back from Origin, so all in all im still pleased with my system.09 March 2021
Connect Group Solar you've changed my life!
From the first interaction with this company I felt at ease as I already did my homework in what I wanted to achieve and they hit the mark every time in answering very promptly and accurately with every process whether it was technical or just a silly question.In the end decided to go with a 3 phase 10kw Inverter (SE10K-AUB) with 36 x 370W Trina panels with 36 x P370 Optimisers due to shading issues
Come time for installation, Justin and his crew of merry men were polite and accommodating, punctual and thorough throughout the whole thing from start to finish.
No mess left onsite to the point I noticed all cable tie clippings were never dropped off the roof to the ground but instead picked up and placed in garbage bags while they were working on the roof and all waste thrown out at the end of both days.
Once meter was installed and able to be turned on, the system was programmed and setup and any issue was tackled immediately with SolorEdge tech support able to remotely assist and rectify right on the spot.
Also must note that as a technical service technician I found it re-assuring that help and the wealth of knowledge and accurate diagnosis from SolarEdge at any point in time was very impressive and did I mention FAST!
This attention to detail of Justin and his crew gave me the sense that they care and can honestly recommend Connect Group Solar for anyone to use them and to be assured that you'll truely get the best and also value for money that you could possibly want

Absolute Excellence
We installed a 27.12kWh Sigenergy system and a 5.8 kW solar panel expansion to our existing array. The only word I can use to describe Connect Energy is perfect.In summary, they're prompt, responsive, knowledgeable, and respectful. Exceptional, really.
We were due to go with another provider when an issue arose, so I had to scramble to find alternatives. Brett, the owner, got in to see us before anyone else - literally 18 hours after I requested the visit, he was at our house. He even called to tell me he was going to be 3 minutes late because of the rail crossing!
When he arrived, he didn't waste any time trying to sell me more than I wanted - he listened to what I was thinking, inspected the site, immediately decided a few things differently to our original contractor based on the environmental conditions (such as the fact that putting the gateway outside would put it in 6-9 hours of direct sunlight). In particular, he didn't even blink when I mentioned I wanted the hot water system connected to the smart port - this was the sticking point with our previous contractor.
During the inspection, two other things really stood out to me:
First, they run almost two dozen solar panels on their office roof to test effectiveness. This told me I wasn't dealing with a retailer - they were actually tradespeople in this space. (This has a second benefit: you're not paying for a retailer and a contractor, you're just going with a local tradesperson who does the lot).
Second, he showed me a photo of the entire team and a colleague they work with. They give second hand equipment (from solar panels upgrades, for example, which would otherwise be trashed) which still have use. He deploys them to communities in Africa, providing communities with power for water filtration and pumps and the like. That stuck with me more than the technical side of things - coordinating with someone to repurpose our waste to support entire communities elsewhere in the world is just a smart thing to do.
So, I was very pleased by this point. But I'd forgotten to ask about a surge protection device, since we didn't have one. Our original contractor had simply nodded and gladly added it to our quote.
Brett didn't - instead, he checked and advised that one was built into the gateway. He didn't take the easy cash when he could have.
He'd come out on the Friday, and we had the quote on Saturday. I accepted the proposal within the hour! I had expected a comparable price to what I already had, maybe more since it was a local business.
They came in under. Better price + the work I wanted (actually, better panels and more of them) + a local, competent team + some corporate social responsibility? Yes please!
I'm happy to report that they did not disappoint.
When they came to install the system, the entire team was amazing - efficient, courteous, respectful to my elderly, non-English speaking parents. Brett was with the team all day working alongside them, much to my surprise. The install was done within about 6 hours from arrival, and he walked me through the app. We initially had some issues connecting to wifi, so he just threw in a cellular dongle even though it eventually worked.
The system works flawlessly, the house is self sustaining even on cloudy days. The only downside was how guilty I felt taking two weeks to write this review!
Connect Energy is worth more than the price they'll quote you, frankly. I reached out to them initially because they're a gold Sigen installer, and a well established company also (you know the horror stories about short-lived companies with appealing prices...)
So, if you need something? Go with them. This is the level of professionalism, expertise, and service you should expect and receive anywhere for anything. Truly brilliant.
