The system we chose was 1.7kwh. We selected an Aurora 3.6kw inverter to enable expansion of solar panels into the future.22 months later we asked Gary: "Are you happy with the performance of your system so far?"

The company we chose have been supplying solar panels to homes in Victoria for over thirty years. They have found one brand of panel (BP), frame and inverter which is totally reliable so they stick to it. Therefore the quality of their installations is excellent. I was after frames which included stainless steel brackets and bolts, a good air flow between tiled roof and panels and durable panels. They have a shop (unlike many companies) so you can go there and see the product and talk to the sales team before the site visit. The company is not the cheapest but they are experts in their field and very helpful.22 months later we asked Erica: "Are you happy with the performance of your system so far?"
We invested in solar panels at the right time (two years ago) as the return for KW hours generated is 68 cents per KW hour with AGL. That return is guaranteed into the future. Schemes now are no where near as generous in Victoria. We will have recouped our investment in approximately 7 years. Therefore solar panels are really an investment as you do get enough return off them so they pay for themselves.06 September 2012

I was certainly disappointed to not be contacted by the companies you listed, however, the list of questions/considerations you provided was very useful in making my decision on the best possible information. I eventually went with a company that, while actually being the highest initial cost of all the quotes I obtained, represented the best long term value for money in my estimation. The system has been in for about 3 weeks now and is performing exactly as they said it would.23 months later we asked GEOFF: "Are you happy with the performance of your system so far?"
Absolutely! Zero problems, performance as claimed. Top quality equipment and Solarcharge is highly recommended to deal with.15 June 2012

Do your homework.Cheap now will cost in the future.
You are responsible for the system you put in not the installer. He is responsible for how its installed.
Beware complications and limitations from the grid controller and the retail supplier.
