About Solar Charge, Solar Installers

Solar Charge is a Melbourne-based supplier of solar power systems and has 40 years' experience in the industry. Homes, businesses and schools have all benefited from its expertise during this time.

The company uses German-supplied Bosch solar power equipment and strives to complete all installations on time and on budget. Anyone interested in installing solar panels is asked to get in touch with Solar Charge to take advantage of incentives offered by the Victorian government.

German solar panels used by the company are said to have a life expectancy of between 30 and 40 years.

Solar Charge Solar Reviews

We follow up with all reviewers after 12 months to see how their system is going since it was installed. These are all the reviewers who have responded to our 1 year follow up:
Selected due to personal recommendation from a friend who used them for their installation. Show additional information
The system has only just been installed, we were able to graph solar harvest on our computer from day one.
Waiting for smart metre to be installed.

We chose Solar Charge, Because they were prompt in coming to give us a quote. And the back up service has been First Class, I would gladly recommend them to anybody.
P.S., Their installers were on site at the time given by the Company.

I would like to thank Finn for his feedback. We did receive two written quotes without the contractors coming on site. The third supplier made contact over the phone, yet failed to provide a written estimate. We went with an entirely different outfit who were very keen to meet face to face to discuss our power needs etc. Show additional information
The system we chose was 1.7kwh. We selected an Aurora 3.6kw inverter to enable expansion of solar panels into the future. Show additional information
The company we chose have been supplying solar panels to homes in Victoria for over thirty years. They have found one brand of panel (BP), frame and inverter which is totally reliable so they stick to it. Therefore the quality of their installations is excellent. I was after frames which included stainless steel brackets and bolts, a good air flow between tiled roof and panels and durable panels. They have a shop (unlike many companies) so you can go there and see the product and talk to the sales team before the site visit. The company is not the cheapest but they are experts in their field and very helpful. Show additional information
I was certainly disappointed to not be contacted by the companies you listed, however, the list of questions/considerations you provided was very useful in making my decision on the best possible information. I eventually went with a company that, while actually being the highest initial cost of all the quotes I obtained, represented the best long term value for money in my estimation. The system has been in for about 3 weeks now and is performing exactly as they said it would. Show additional information
