Company Details
Sunrise Energy was founded in 2006 and has now been producing modules for 19 years. These days it manufactures N- type TOPCon and P-type PERC PV modules, and monocrystalline solar cells. Its current production capacity as at early 2025 is 2GW.
As well as solar panels, Sunrise also manufactures solar inverters, energy storage and is also involved with the provision of system design, integration and sales services.
Sunrise Energy Solar Panels In Australia
The company established a presence in Australia via a local distributor in 2011 (NPP Energy). That company doesn't appear to be operating any longer, although an ASIC search shows its company registration is still active. Panels on offer here were generally in power output ranges up to 310W, in polycrystalline and monocrystalline.
When Sunrise Energy stopped supplying panels here and why is unclear - but it happened quite a few years ago; perhaps around 2019.
Warranty Info
When Sunrise solar panels were available in Australia, they were accompanied by a 12 year product warranty and a 25 year performance warranty. The latter promised a maximum 5% degradation by the 5th year, 10% by the 10th year, 15% by the 18th year and 20% at the end of year 25.
Some Sunrise Energy panels installed here would still be covered by warranty. Your installer should be the first port of call for any warranty issues if they are still around. Failing that, the next party responsible is the distributor (if you can get hold of them); and then Sunrise themselves.
