Australian Solar Price Index - All States

All States

The first graph below shows the average  $/watt paid for rooftop solar power systems - with a line for every state and territory in Australia. The second indicates the total price paid for a residential solar system installation, based on purchase date, as reported by reviewers on SolarQuotes.

If any lines are missing, this means we don't have enough data for a particular month. This can be common in Northern Territory, ACT and Tasmania where there are small populations.

These graphs show how prices vary by region. Western Australia is usually the cheapest, while the Northern Territory and Australian Capital Territory are usually the most expensive. Notice how Western Australia has cheaper solar than Victoria despite the Victorian solar panel rebate.
