In the early-mid 2010's, quite a few Sunna Tech inverters were installed in Australia — but quality was inconsistent. Sunna Tech inverters not only subsequently disappeared from the Australian market, but altogether.

Sunna inverters were supplied to Australia, Asia, Europe, USA, Canada and Africa. Their manufacturing provenance isn't clear, but likely China.
Company Info
The company once had an office in Australia in West Burleigh, Queensland, but much about the firm is a mystery shrouded by the fog of time. We found reference to a Sunna Tech Ltd in the UK that was incorporated in 2011 and dissolved in mid-2015.
Sunna Tech Inverters In Australia
Several Sunna Tech solar inverters were once approved for use in Australia by the Clean Energy Council. The models included:
- 1500TL (1.5 kW)
- 2000TL (2 kW)
- 3000TL (3 kW)
- 4200TL (4 kW)
- 5000TL (5 kW)
Sunna Tech inverters were transformerless single-phase units that featured an LCD display showing the operation information and status of the inverter. They had a maximum efficiency of 96%, an operating temperature range of -20 °C ~ +50 °C and were IP65 rated, which meant they could be installed outdoors.
The smaller capacity units measured 455 x 430 x 170 mm and weighed 23 kilograms, while the 4200TL and 5000TL's dimensions were 455 x 510 x 170 mm and it weighed 28 kilograms - so they were quite hefty devices.
Warranty Details
Sunna Tech inverters were accompanied by a 10-year warranty. Given how much time has elapsed since the company was liquidated, that means any that are still installed in Australia would no longer have warranty coverage. Instead of a costly attempt to repair one, you're better off selecting a new solar inverter brand.
